What doesn't need to happen to a 22 year old winger who played on the opposite side of his preferred wing is to be writing him off or saying he needs to immediately sit on the bench b/c that would be incredibly pointless to do when he's still likely our best creative wide talent we've got.

It's very important people stop being so quick to judge a flair player who is playing on the wrong side of his preferred position when the entire team was set to contain and he's out there trying to cross the ball to a man who wasn't arsed to be playing last night. Yes, Thauvin had a poor showing, but people need to consider how the manager should have handled Ben Arfa, Marveaux, and Cabella - just because they didn't graft their dicks off and made a hollywood slide tackle, doesn't mean shit - they'll still be more likely to score or create a goal than Obertan, Colback, Anita etc. etc. etc.

Bench Cisse, Colback and Anita. Start Perez, De Jong, Sissoko, Thauvin, Wijnaldum and Aarons. If it's far too attacking of a midfield, tell the fucking back 4 and the right and left backs to sit more and not bomb up the pitch as often. We need to score 3+ goals and not concede.

What's changed is last night's performance was fucking abysmal and I haven't seen him play THAT bad for us ever. He also used to look like he gave a shit, but last night, it was a heartless performance. There are times when I forgave shit b/c they'd be playing under Pardew or Carver but its a new season, new manager, and new group of players around you. That's whats changed for me.

If he plays like today more often I'm no longer a fan of his. I've been a proponent on a permanent starting replacement for some time.

Like I said, huge Cisse fan but my patience has run its course with him. We're essentially playing with 10-8 men sometimes when the likes of Colback, Anita, and Cisse are on the pitch contributing fuck all to the attack + the former 2 contributing fuck all in stopping goals.

I like Vurn, but I see him being absolutely useless if he's paired with Colback. Who is also useless. Our "2" needs to be a 3, or it needs to be 2 new people. Neither can tackle great, or make a killer pass, they are cogs and sort of not good ones to our overall effectiveness on both ends of the pitch.

I've seen Austin create his own shot, I've seen Austin trap a ball, I've seen Austin look remotely a threat of creating something for someone else too. I'm a huge fan of Cisse's but I can't see how on earth he's supposed to do anything if he can't even do the basic shit which is trap a ball, pounce on a defenders error (which in turn he can't trap), or if he's supposed to be the instinct finisher, then he needs to get something on target when he's taking a half volley.

When I saw Siem play Man City I saw him control his team and score important goals. Fairly oblivious. Regarding Benfica I actually thought Cardozo was a big strong striker that could do a job too although knew he was older than we like to sign.
