Judging Abeid on 1 game back when he had THAT back 3 behind him and then giving a clear pass to Colback seriously gtfo with that crap. He demand the ball, switched play, played it quickly, played some good 1-2s and was holding up well to many challenges coming in and keeping possession. Thought he did fine. Was more shocked at our inability to cross the ball to anyone numerous times. We had Little Bigi, Shane Ferguson and Satka playing back there. We weren't going to have a Clean sheet ever with that team.
His self confidence and desire to get by his man is brilliant. He was all over the place causing problems when he actually played last and was fit last season. Could be a special player.
They are there to bond, work, and get themselves fucking ready for the season. When bigger clubs are playing Roma, first division MLS sides we play a Mexican league team, a USL team, and a MLS B Side. Lose 2-1, win 1-0 on an own goal...and?
Good, but why?
What do you mean, why? Because I like reading about this type of stuff?
"Driven with Steve's revolutionary approach..." - from his website, I'd love to what his approach is.
I'd sell Sissoko if it meant we were going to sign a top RW and use the Sissoko funds to help get the right one in.
I'd also just love to attempt Wik-Sissoko as a central 2 and De Jong as the #10 - but in that we'd need Mbemba and another CB with a bit of pace as we'll be defending far higher up the pitch.
LB, 2 CBs (1 being Mbemba), and a Winger and I'd be happy.
If that was the line up I'd happily sell Sissoko for a decent wedge and find a better deep player to start next to Wijnaldum.
Can't believe I'm saying that given up how much I used to rate Moussa
