  1. But we've not seen how Tammy has recovered from the ACL. He scored 8 league goals in the season prior and must be on massive wages. I don't know man. Wilson is a much better finisher than Tammy. Near enough fully amortised fee, ok wages. I'm a staunch Wilson supporter me. Scored more goals this season than Tammy has in the last 2 seasons combined.
  2. 100% a baller. Without Schar and Trippier. We need someone that can spot a pass from deep that isn't Bruno. He can go on to become a much better version of Zinchenko. Zinchenko can do the line breaking passes but that's really it. He's a victim 1v1 and makes poor defensive choices.
  3. For as long as i've been following NUFC we've never had such a physically imposing 11. I like that a lot. I liked Colo a lot. But i really didn't like how often he was beaten in the air. A CB shouldn't get mugged in the air often. The game has evolved. But be strong, win your headers, make blocks etc. Make teams beat your with ability.
  4. If this is true - this is a heck of a lot. I would expect around £70k or close to whatever Schar and Botman are. But not more unless he is coming to start. The bad thing about free transfers is they can wreck the entire wage structure. This is one of Villa's bigger long-term issues. If Tielemans is on £150k, when it's time for McGinn & Kamara's renewal - they need £160k at a minimum. They start full strength, Tielemans does not. The wages killed Leicester in the end. ----- All of what i said is null and void if we execute a top strategy to increase the revenue.
  5. And will Tammy want to come and sit on the bench? He's also had a massive injury recently.
  6. I thought Chelsea could drop points here. The thing about Chelsea is they are in good form. They’ve found some consistency.
  7. I’ve been making the sensible moves all season. No idea why I didn’t do it now. That Jackson goal was crucial - as was the stupid yellow card and subsequent loss of bonus points. I think I’m just behind. But only 1 or 2 points with more fixtures to go than dude.
  8. My FPL strategy has been all season. Just go with the obvious moves. Whatever most makes sense on Mon/Tues do that just before the deadline if no injuries. Had a clear strategy. Either go Richy or use the double transfer defensively and block Gvardiol. But I thought - ‘it’s Gvardiol, he might get 1 attacking return. If that.’
  9. I was all in for Richarlison until yesterday. If he was fit I was going there.
  10. Ended up burning my transfer. I had Vicario & Gvardiol transfer ready at 10:58. But my gut was against the move for some reason. So I bailed. Dont know why. Gvardiol is my biggest threat. Getting him would give me the ideal bench boost team. I just prefer Ederson in goal in 38 and I fancy an attacking return for my Arsenal defender or Branthwaite. That second element is the gut. I don’t think it’s the logical choice.
  11. Isak is a good alternative. But you are right, Wilson could easily be a focal point, score more and take penalties. It’s close for me. I’m tempted to bring in a Brighton defender for a left field move.
  12. 13. Our strikers role is just to score goals. Both have wonderful underlying data for Xg. I think even Gordon would get a good few playing 9 for us.
  14. Quotes from Eddie suggest he's in contention to start.
  15. I don't agree with the comparison. Pope was a much better keeper than Dubs based on GK statistics (save %, Xg prevented, claiming crosses etc., distance of defensive actions). That was hard evidence of what he was likely to bring to the team and it turned out to be true. That's not the same story with Ramsdale. Ramsdale is better with his feet - that is it.
  16. Haven't paid a fee for a transfer since the 20/21 season apparently. Cash payments don't influence FFP. The fee is recognised and amortised according to the length of the contract.
  17. In a world with Hall starting LB, I think Tino has to start RB.
  18. Leverkusen fans are a bit shit eh? When they scored the goal at 2-1, it was the most timid reaction I've seen. Is that typical of Leverkusen fans?
  19. Villa will surely finish in the top 4 this season.
  20. Ferguson achieved miracles at Aberdeen too - that bought him a lot of credit. His position in British football was far greater than Eddie's. Finishing 6th would be a great achievement. I've been critical of Eddie at times but finishing 6th under these circumstances would be another superb season. I would consider 8th as par.
  21. He's a stop-gap backup measure for Madrid. He's only there on loan. Since he left us he's been on the up and up. A couple of really good seasons in La Liga led to the loan. I always thought he could look a tidy footballer but something else seems to have clicked for him. Commentary suggested he had been getting a bit of stick in the Madrid media. But like... he's Joselu... even before last night he had performed as well as could be reasonably expected - if not better.
  22. Is that the worst thing you can find about me talking about JOSELU? I'm not the type to have a massive go at the likes of Joselu. He tried his best. Seemed to have some ability but also... short of "it". Which is why he had the career he had until 32.
  23. He would still want to demonstrate his availability. Make it a decision. I suspect he's in contention to start on the weekend?
