Why is there no point? we might as well not talk about the transfer window. That at least has a known deadline. -

If we treated Newcastle like a PLC we would be investors. Investors speculate about business strategy. As football fans we are more than investors. There’s emotional labour, financial support and more. I hate how anti-speculation people are about it ON A MESSAGE BOARD. I agree with @Keegans Export we don’t know what PIF intend to do but clearly there’s money been left on the table. -
More of an Odegaard cover. A 10 more than a winger.
-
Given time he would’ve been a good player for us. Howe init.
-
They do need Saka cover. Madueke would be super team building though.
-
Seems a nice chap but he’s pap.

It was the last hack that clubs used. -

I disagree. I think we need someone with connections to PIF (can be CEO but not a regular employee type like Eales) to be leading the club. Someone that can influence them. All other top clubs has a money man or a trusted advisor with close connections to the money man/woman running the club. Amanda was that. Eales was never going to be that. -

We have most definitely done a dodgy thing to get where we are. £20m for Vlach and an inflated fee at the time for Anderson. -

Villa have sold their ladies team and Everton appear to be getting ready to sell some asset to themselves too. Forest are doing dodgy deals with Lyon again. We are waiting though. -
Unless Fulham or someone like that goes in for him, they ain’t getting £40m.

He'll feel he's made it.

I’m not a football accountant but that’s not my understanding of the rules. The sale would simply be additional revenue to my understanding. Happy to be proven wrong. -

Non footballing purchases don’t count towards PSR. But the sales do. In theory you can buy sell buy sell the same asset for pure PSR upside -
We’ve not been squeaky clean but that’s fine. It’s not the rules. Or assets. It’s a choice to not use loopholes multiple others have utilised.
-
Fairs. We’re actually better than them. But we run out of legs and bodies. There’s a good chance they improve again and get 74+ points. Don’t rate Maresca mind.

It’s a helluva a lot of depth and quality. It’s the reason they’ve finished above us for 2 seasons mostly due to having so much more quality in depth which really counts towards the end of the season. They won’t win the CL or the league. Bur they can cope comfortably with the amount of games for the squad to requalify. It’s the number of games - especially through winter that stopped Villa finishing top 5.
-
Just Villa by the looks of it. Rumours Everton might. I hope PIF/RB do - it will confirm that they are slow and not particularly creative, but better late than never. Aye.
-
I don't believe that the club doesn't hold any assets that could be deemed semi-valuable... to sell to itself. But let's say we don't. What's stopping the club buying assets and selling it to themselves for PSR gains?
-
Are you suggesting what’s stopping us is that we don’t have any assets to sell? Thats the only thing stopping us?

What did we sign and what did it say? If it says we won’t exploit loopholes - we’ve already done that. If it’s to not challenge the rules - we haven’t and won’t. This ‘signed prior agreement’ line doesn’t standup to scrutiny. -
PL voted on the selling assets thing - I don’t even think it got to a vote. Didn’t have enough support to go to a vote. It’s open season. Except for us. But keep blaming Chelsea and the rules. Amortisation is capped at 5-years btw. The 7-year deal thing is part of a broader strategy Chelsea have to stockpile talent.
