If he can run, he’s going to start. Howe does need to rotate more. But hes not going to start now in the league with all these injuries. If everyone is not injured, they are going again on Sunday then again on Wednesday.

And he can play against Chelsea in the league cup. That silly rule only applies to the PL to my knowledge. Could be wrong.

Hall is not starting a league game if Trippier and Livra are fit. He probably won’t even get off the bench. If you pay attention to Eddie’s moves, none of this is surprising.

Howe left Livramento on the bench against Wolves for 90 minutes. If a player isn’t trusted - he’s not getting minutes. Howe has proved that time and again. I don’t expect to see Hall until Chelsea.

He played like 9 games.

Took Gordon 6 months + u21 euros + hot pre season to be trusted. Hall will get there in time. I hope.

One of those playing like he’s pacing himself. Had some moments of quality like the ball to Gordon and the prior dribble. When he came deep he kept possession. But playing with the handbrake on.

We play away from home like we are conserving our energy for home games. We need to play with our intensity for as long as we can and try to hang on at the end.

There’s nothing to trigger. There’s an obligation to buy.

Eddie gave him his chance when he had those 2 starts and was hauled off quickly. He’s not in the trusted circle. Eddie’s not one to play someone just because he’s there and fit. If he’s not trusted he’s not trusted.

Another bad away performance.

All of them would make our bench at the moment, would you disagree? Those 3 probably start for us if everyone is fully fit. Diaby, Ramsey & Moreno would probably start for us if they were fully fit and we had a fully fit squad. Duran is the 3rd striker some think is necessary. For me - it's the depth of the squad that is so serving them so well. They have Watkins, Kamara, Luiz and the GK as the spine. But the rest - even at CB - they've got solid options. Even Duran is a good back-up but you wouldn't want to rely on him for 10+ games.

Thats why I haven’t discounted them.

They’ve got great depth. On the bench they had: Diaby Cash Moreno Duran Ramsey Lenglet Zaniolo Dendoncker Nearly all of these would get good minutes for us.

Last season at Vila, Young had Gordon in his back pocket all game. It was embarrassing. Today's the big payback. Gordon has only scored 1 away goal this season but today he gets his second. If I was a betting man, i'd put £20. He's destined to score against these,

Bailey and Tielemans off for Diaby and Ramsey. Aston Villa are a serious team man.

Everton struggle to score goals at home. That's the problem. If we can get an early lead, we might be able to make it 2 or 3. If they score first, it's going to be a long game.

Aye he plays at 10. Which is why I don't understand the link. He doesn't look like he can play CM either.

He looks slight from the clips i've seen. Doesn't look like a central midfielder physically. He is only 20 though. Not a Wirtz expert by any means just my observation from a couple of comps and looking him up.

Don't get the Wirtz links. Plays at 10, small, right footed.. doesn't fit neatly into our system from what I've seen of him.

Bournemouth was our 3rd game in a week, playing every 3 days, 2nd long away trip in succession. We should have enough to compete here. It's Spurs, Chelsea & Luton away I'm more concerned about having a flagging performance. Those are away and at the end of gruelling schedules, the Luton game is a B2B away game.

What has he done that has made you think that? I think Rafa was like that. He would rotate early in the season for fatigue reasons. Howe comes across as more of a momentum guy. In a competitive game state, Dan Burn was playing damn near every minute.

Howe will keep playing Lascelles until Botman is fully fit. Botman might get a few 15-20 minute appearances to check his knee in full flight. BUt I don't think he'll be rushed. CBs need the least amount of rest anyway. If he's training we'll hopefully see him against Chelsea at the least.
