  1. Nothing against Froggy personally.... but I would ban him from NO football forums for that reason alone. Get that Man Utd shit out of here.
  2. Thanks Mehrdad and Amanda. Bit nervous about this.
  3. The performance of this season has little impact on PSR for 24/25. League position from 4th to 7th is worth about £12m and cup runs are draw-dependent with prize money nothing crazy. The biggest impact on PSR for next 1st July is our trading.
  4. I thought so too. We had maybe 4 games before the Barnes injury. Each one it was Gordon off for Barnes. Which gives less credence to that idea.
  5. Man U chased DeLigt all summer one year and didn’t get the deal done. We didn’t get Tino at a discount. We ended up just wasting time. We did similar with Barnes, I guess we thought we would get discount priced because of relegation but that didn’t materialise.
  6. No way did we sign Gordon as a €45m backup LW. The Barnes transfer was opportunistic in terms of availability (not even fee) but never made any sense in terms of squad building. I initially thought the intention was for Gordon to play RW but when both were fit that was rarely used from the start. Both like to cut in and shoot from the left. Saving grace as that they are both really good players. I applaud how we’ve signed good players nearly all the time. But some of the positions and profiles didn’t make sense.
  7. Brathwaite looks quality tbf.
  8. That's Man U's approach. Bid low, unsettle the other players staff, try to get him on the cheap because his head has been turned. Don't think it will work with Branthwaite.
  9. Aye. That Isak signing was rather emotional and fuck God it was. 1 game, 1 injury, we doubled our budget on a signing in a moment.
  10. Snapped Camavinga for £35m odd - 1 year left. Courtois, Alaba, Rudiger all "free".
  11. Yoro is such a Real Madrid signing.
  12. From the clips i've seen I would agree. I think Minteh looks more devastating in the final 3rd. Has that killer pace. Bakayako looks more developed physically and gets involved in general play more. Doesn't have that bit of wow factor I think Minteh has. I'm less confident on Bakayoko because he's not as fast.
  13. We’ve not signed anyone already on £100k+ so far and I don’t expect us too this summer.
  14. You rate him higher than Minteh? Same position. Same foot. Same league. Bakayoko has more experience and is a year older.
  15. Ok. And we'll add £20m to our costs for the next few years (wages and amortisation costs) for a player that will depreciate in value. Lad is rumoured to earn £120k and has 6 years left on his deal. What are we going to offer him? £150k for the same length? Unless we have some major new revenue streams coming in. Like... major. It doesn't make sense. But fairs.
  16. West Ham finances are perfectly fine. They don't need the money. He's arguably their best player. He has a contract until 2030 on megabucks. Unless something has changed - he's their main man for awhile. I don't see a desire to sell or a capacity to afford him. He's easily worth more than £60m to them too imo.
  17. Why would West Ham sell him for £60m?
  18. If we paid 12m for the GK - might just be that.
  19. Also doesn't make sense to me. Not a RW. Right footed. Already in the PL. 3 years left on the contract. Almost at peak value. I don't understand these links to him and Bowen, can only assume it's largely made up/based on light interest.
  20. I don't believe the Bowen link.
  21. ok i'm done - no more ribbing Kaka. He doesn't find it funny. Sorry for the handbags. I'm high off caffeine and haven't had a workout yet. Between projects at work so have extra time to kill.
  22. You rate nearly all the gazillion Nigerian lads in professional football. That's perfectly fine, it's even cute. Go Naija. But it's also funny and grounds for a little ribbing. Take it easy mate. I take all personal jibes on here in my stride and rarely retaliate in large part because - my life is enjoyable and fulfilling. I don't take any of this personally and neither should you. That's why I'm not brittle and don't resort to personal jibes. I post on here for fun. I'm having fun, seeing you rate all the Nigerian lads is fun-ny. When the fun stops, stop. Or do the work that earns you money. Spend time with your family or give a friend a call.
  23. I thought these would be the type of signings we would make rather than Harvey Barnes or even Lloyd Kelly. Which is probably a good thing. For our model to work we need relatively quick success / high revenues - so that is the plan.
  24. Where's the bitching and moaning? I find this attitude a bit funny - no malice or mockery, it's just funny. If a lad is Nigerian, you will like him a lot as a footballer. My life is probably more fulfilling and enjoyable than yours. Thank God.
