  1. Chiellini was bitten and has come out in his defense. It's a ridiculous punishment, ban him 4,6 months 12 months from football, but banning him from training and going to watch games is ridiculous and has nothing to do with a fair punishment and all to do with politics. It's ridiculous. Most of the world of football is defending him, everyone from Johan Alvbåge in Sweden to Falcao in Brazil to Alexis Sanchez to Chiellini in Italy. World Cup players are saying it's excessive. Why were Tasotti and Leonardo allowed in 94 to still be a part of the squad? Why weren't their credentials taken away from them and sent home? I don't care if it's three bites, ban him in official football games not on what he does in his sparetime, FIFA are really putting themselves into a dangerous zone by doing this and are going to have to go hard on every off the ball incident now. He can still keep fit/train on his own time. As for being banned from going to watch games, fans get banned from stadiums all the time, most of them for less than attempted canabolism. Forgot it's an individual sport. As for cannibalism, look up the internet for it's definition, or I guess we've changed it and all kids are cannibals as well? The ban is excessive IMO. I'll leave it at that though. We'll see how CAS looks at it, wouldn't surprise me if the games stands but the not training with teammates and going to watch games doesn't.

Chiellini likely feels bad to have been involved in the incident. Why is it ridiculous? It is important that its three bites, what has banning him from playing done previously? Made him feel sorry for himself & then repeat the same behaviour several times. So you propose the same punishment again? Clearly the guy needs something that will hit home when hes in the heat of the moment. Why is it ridiculous? Joey came out of prison hit a guy in one game then kneed another one, isn't that a three strike offence then? Why was he allowed near stadiums during his 12 game ban? Pepe, has had plenty of off-ball incidents trying to hurt players, far more than three bites and never gotten this long of a ban. Sorry, but I've seen far worse, I'm not defending Suarez btw.

  4. Chiellini has come out and supported Suarez saying the ban is excessive and he feels for him and his family. So who knows, don't count your chickens yet...the appeal by Uruguay FA may prove successful in reducing the ban Just seen Maradona wearing a T-Shirt for Suarez' support on live TV. Well, that's all he needed. defense from the king of fair play and morality, Diego Armando Maradona. I swear Suarez is Walter White. Never seen someone so controversial and the ultimate hero/villain like that in my life-time. Every football player from any other country than England that have commented on Suarez has said it's excessive. It really is. 4months without being able to train? 4 months without being able to go into a football stadium? Are they getting interpol to put a tail on him? It's ridiculous. You want to ban him for 21matches, then do it, but don't be so ridiculous about it.
  5. Seen so many of those, but that's the best one yet. Old man happy as hell
  6. I think it should be 6 months minimum. Who are the hooligans in England btw? Fuck do I know, I call anyone who causes troubles because of football game a hooligan tbf as I think it's ridiculous. But our fans caused trouble outside St James after the loss to the Mackems and I haven't read about many being banned from going into St James again. Don't want to be that guy, but the chances of HIV or hepatite through a bite is extremely tiny even more so when these guys are professional athletes who get test every so often. I think any off ball incident deserves a huge ban, but where does the limit go when Suarez gets this but others escape with less for more? I'm not defending Suarez, he's the biggest twat in football, but there needs to be a consistency which doesn't exist in football.
  7. I'm just saying, the way Suarez acts he'd rather have gotten this than 12 months of international football. Official FIFA friendlies will count towards the 9 games won't they? He'll be able to participate in the Copa America as well...
  8. I bet there's a lot of tackle with potentially legbreak and name calling at your job? Fuck is this example, worst one I've seen so far.
  9. That argument would be a lot easier to make if this wasn't the third time he's done it, to go alongside the racism charge he was found guilty of. Oh absolutely, but if you look the other way the argument would be a lot harder if players like Pepe, Joey Barton, and others who have time and time again done criminal stuff on the pitch got these types of bans as well. It's because a bite is out of the norm, while a punch like Joey at Pedersen or Pepe kicking the living shit of a Getafe defender on the floor are far more dangerous for the player getting it. Also. Howard Webb ref for Brazil v Chile
  10. I think the ban should be closer to 12months of international football rather than hit at club level as well. 4 months of not going to a stadium is ridiculous, how about these people that cause all sorts of trouble and FIFA don't do shit about them in countries? The hooligans in Brazil and England, the Barra Bravas in Argentina etc. I think the punishment is to harsh in the sense that he's done it in the World Cup. He should be banned from it, the qualifiers and then the Copa America. That's enough, hits him where it probably hurts him the most, not being able to represent his country for 12months in two big tournaments.
  11. And everyone in a country smaller than Florida heard him.
  12. I think a lot of them are 'Americans' Not saying htey didn't, but looking at the stadiums it's quite clear it's been mostly South Americans and then Mexicans in the stadiums. Think a lot of the 'Americans' are Mexicans. * Don't doubt for a second there's a s*** load of Americans either as I've seen them as neutral in the Fonte Nova for all the games, just saying that those numbers are wrong I'd believe. Yep. We're all white. Huh? I was going by games. Mexican fans have filled each game. Fair enough if american all wear different shirts to the game and are spread seperately, but the South Americans and Mexican fans ahve been the loudest until here. I apologize. I'm in a weird mood. I'm all US today fwiw Mike.

  14. Bendtner got a fine so Neymar should get one as well. Ridiculous rule though

  16. How many games is this though? 9 internationals + big part of the league, league cup, Champions league as well. Must clearly be around 24 games in total. edit* 21 games. That's a s*** load of games. It is but isn't 24 matches the complete max punishment. Don't really see why three games was given as it makes them look weak. They can't even say, "we doled out the max punishment" can they? Silly from FIFA. I've seen far worse things on a pitch than a bite tbf to Suarez. It's horrible because he's done it for the third time and doesn't seem to learn. But 21 is enough. He'll miss the WC, Copa America and plenty league games.
  17. No way Uruguay get through without Suarez IMO. Well yes probably, but he will be rejoicing that Brazil won't have to face Uruguay (with Suarez) nonetheless. With Suarez I would have backed them to beat Colombia and give Brazil a good game at the very least. Seriously, I have a hard time seeing them qualify to the next round even with Suarez. I'm most scared of Chile of all three teams even with Suarez playing.

  19. and the scary thing is neither Uruguay or Liverpool (club or fans) will acknowledge any wrong doing and continue to paint him as a victimized martyr at the hands of the evil british press its no f***ing surprise he's continued doing this kind of s*** because he keeps getting protected and will no doubt do something similar in the future. Personally, I think he continues this sort of behaviour because he has serious problem with lack of impulse controland sanity, but it is incredible the lengths everyone involved for Uruguay has gone to protect him. They treat him like a differently abled family member. I'm happy with the ban. Think FIFA would bail out but they gave him the right punishment. people expecting 24months are clearly biased against him. He's going to miss so much football including the WC and Copa America if they don't win play another 4 games here. It's a good ban in my opinion, hits Uruguay heavily as well for defending him the pricks.
  20. For what it's worht Muntari has been playing as a headless chicken and Kevin didn't look like giving a shit against Germany so maybe this is good news for Ghana.
  21. FIFA decides who plays in the final? FIFA's fault England, Italy and Spain completely failed to perform as well?
  22. http://sportv.globo.com/site/SporTV-na-Copa/noticia/2014/06/argentinos-sao-suspeitos-de-roubar-torcedor-no-entorno-do-beira-rio.html Horrible images of a man getting kicked on the floor after his tickets were stolen and he went after the argentine fans. Luckily other people were there so they didn't kill or hurt him.
