N-O Fantasy World Cup 2014 - sbnufc wins! Rich second! Unbelievable third!

No assist for Juanfran? FIFA better fix that the cunts. -
Surprised they've played him at all this game, never mind all 90 minutes. He's such an important player and he's got legs that are gagging to fall apart. Dangerous game by King Louis. RvP out and they probably think Brazil will beat Cameroon.

Juanfran with 15 or 16p. Depending on if he had 80% pass completion. GTFI. Should've captained him. -
Him and Benzema have been excellent. Scared to think of what this Chile side with Vidal could possibly do to Brazil if we win tonight.

Juanfran -
The more I watch of this Holland team the less impressed I get, which doesn't bode well if we beat Cameroon or draw and then have to play them. Teams that unimpress me usually kicks us out of tournaments.

Johnson literally had the freedom of his flank. Considering that, I wouldn't describe his performance as excellent. You can only beat what's in front of you and CRonaldo couldn't create smack from that side of the pitch. Had it been a british player you'd be singing the praises. It's a weird one, everytime a US player has a good game you lot always try to find excuses. Incidentally your post is bollocks. Ive said Dempsey was outstanding and one or two others impressed me too. Beasley for one. But to say someone was excellent who basically had the freedom of his side of the pitch is a tad over the top.He had a good game. And at the very least USA deserved their point. Agreed on Beasley as well for most parts. But Dempsey had legs for 45minutes and then faded Until the goal. We'll have to agree to disagree on Johnson. I thought he was excellent. Jones also had avery good game and was all over in that midfield. It was the British players jibe that was bollocks. What the USA team lack in talent and ability they make up for in work ethic. And in that regard Dempsey led from the front. Literally ran himself out. Fair play to them. Yeah, that wasn't a jibe at you though, that happens regularly on here tbf to the Americans. at Dempsinho. I prefer Deuce. God, now I respect Flip too? f***ing football, man. WC is GoT, man. Allegiances are fluid. and Mike playing cool kid in here, and NFL thread while in the NBA thread he tries to be my best friend. Goes both ways Mike.

He was, but he was running into open space the entire match. You would think Portugal would eventually learn. Every single spell of US pressure and he could be seen standing on the right with no one within ten yards. They tried, they put Miguel there after Almeida failed. Just didn't work out, the guy has so much speed, was disappointed to see he's 26 already...
-
I actually started the game thinking I wanted Portugal to win. Then Nani scored, and I remembered why I don't like Portugal. Then I saw CRonaldo and I remembered why I detest them. U S A U S A U S A U S A U S A Also, Fabian Johnson was excellent.

Had £5 on Belgium, Algeria, Portugal and Spain. Returns £90. So close but yet so far.

Mike and Deuce can go suck it! SUCK IT! Where is this coming from? I just read the anguish smily and football gods comment from earlier. So SUCK IT: Football gods want a Portugal win!

You see, this I agree 100% with. Although he's definitely not been exempted from criticism, he's been getting loads of them in Brazil. It's just that if I'm not wrong, Alves criticized Shearer for saying he's not good enough of a player. Fred should definitely and is getting criticism for his start to the tournament, but I find it extremely hard to criticize a players career for two games. I mean, it's like pundits from other countries criticizing Rooneys career based on two games at this World Cup. Therefore I agree with Dani on that Shearer's comments were absurd. No doubt, he has to perform for us to stand a chance at the World Cup and without him we have no reference up top which has been visible. The last string of hope I'm holding on to is that he loves the big games. He won't score against smaller teams but will score on the big occasion.
-
How many games have you seen him play Santoon?
-
Disagree, he's been s*** this season. But a good few years is pushing it, he was brilliant against Spain in the Confed Cup last year and basically locked down Iniesta. Even if he has, a Dani Alves past his sell by date is still better than 95% of fullbacks around. He's been so bad this season, I've been hoping he wouldn't get picked for the WC. He's starting now which is actually pulling us back, I agree with him on that, but to say that one of the best right backs of all times who's won everything on club level and played with the worlds best for many many years has no say in this is ridiculous.
-
Yes he is, if you watch the last Confederation Cups he's the boss of pressing (something we've been lacking this World Cup, don't know where the intensity pressing that easily beat the Euro's finalists has gone). Together with Thiago Silva and David Luiz he's considered the captains of the team, he's a vocal presence on the pitch together with David Luiz while Thiago is the one that provides the calmness and the mouth only when needed.
