Excellent finish.

Don't think they'll annihilate Man U to be fair. They'll give them a gentle spanking a la same way they did to Arsenal. Arsenal are clearly a better team than Man U though, plus they'll miss van Persie badly. We'll see I guess. Think Bayern won't have any troubles, but don't expect them to win 7,8-0 in aggregate either. Yeah, no team is s**** enough to lose 7-0 in aggregate in the later rounds of the CL. Even against Bayern. Oh wai---

Bellini Brazils captain of the '58 side passed away yesterday. Suffered from alzheimer for the past 10 years and died of complication from it. First Brazilian player to lift a World Cup trophy, and was part of the team in '62 as well.

So back in end of April-May most likely. That's a big blow for Netherlands. 1month to get into form again before World Cup. Will be enough for a striker for the WC. Blow for Man Utd if anything. Hasn't hit form since his last injury, so not so sure. One month is a very short time for someone that has been injury prone throughout season.

Does sound pretty daft given he just smashed in a hat-trick, single handedly winning them a game that got them through to the next round of the Champions League, against the odds. Single handedly He scored a penalty,a free kick (which keeper should have saved) and a goal put on a plate for him by Rooney didnt even watch the match still, if he hadn't done it... who would have? nee one. Rooney would've blammoed the first two over the box and if rooney had set up welbeck for the third he would've kicked the ground and fell owwa. but aye, 'Single handedly' is a bit daily mail. Rooney was far better than RVP on the night you f***er. Did he score 3 goals and get you through to the next round? Nar mate. He didn't. #clamped #clamped

Bayern or Real if Barcelona can't find form. Barcelona still have in my opinion the best player in the world and a great cast around so if they hit form at the right time they can certainly win it as well, but based on current form Bayern and Real are without a doubt the favourites.

Wow, Betis are having a miserable season.

Don't know why either. Basel players walked off the pitch last and started to exchange words with Salzburg fans. Beautiful build up to their goal though.

Santoon and Dave still don't think he spit? Not that the FA are to be trusted, but I'm 100% he spat.

Especially as Real, Bayern, PSG and Barcelona semi-finals would be the most entertaining ones.

i can't help myself, why don't you apply this level of analysis and critical thinking to our performances under pardew? He's clearly a wum in that thread, the same way College Dropout was the same in the beginning. It's all about making yourself seen, attention whores the lot of them

Also very boring. Also a bit tiresome. I like it. It's absolutely bobbins, man.

Without looking at what you quoted I thought you were quoting me. Thought it was extremely harsh at first and that you were an evil man.

Or put in a blinding performance then get dropped next game for no other reason than 'the managers an idiot'. See Stoke in December. Wasn't it against Villa that he and Remy played on each side of a striker and we did really well winning 2-1 although we looked pretty comfortable only for him to be moved to a left-midfielder in a 4-4-2 and then being blamed on for conceding three goals against Everton the following days? While also being arguably our best player in the first half (not that that's saying much, we were f***ing woeful in that game) and then "hauled off" at half time. My biggest problem wasn't even his perfromance, it was the fact that if you have a player who has performed well in a 4-3-3 and the team has won away the team. Why do you move that player to the left-flank in a position he's basically never performed well in? Easy, if you're name is Parcoward you do that because you're scared of Baines and want to defend that flank. It's counter-productive, because if you have a player like Ben Arfa, Baines will be scared of attacking to much and giving Ben Arfa to much space. This was the only thing I liked about Domenech, I remember really well in the World Cup 2006 when he they got to the final, he always put on two wingers in the second half whether they were losing or winning because it forced fullbacks to stay back and if they didn't two pacey wingers would get the team in huge problems. Against Spain he put some winger on for another winger while 1-1 with 20minutes or so to go and won the game 3-1. The best thing about Ben Arfa is the fact that the teams respect him because what he is capable off, so if we let him play his game on the right-flank teams will be more cautious. Unfortunately our manager is more scared of protecting his own goal rather than understanding what the game is all about which is score more goals than the opposition.

Why? He's as miserable as they come. He is, and his style of football isn't much to desire, but I just think he has - in a way - drawn the short straw going there. He's not a bad manager and the way the media go on about him suggests he is. No-one would have matched up to Ferguson who wasn't already at a "super club" for love of a better term. Sticks two fingers up at the media and any fans doubting him the result tonight. For me, from what little I have seen of ManUre this season, it's the players who need to be held responsible and the amount of desire shown. Moyes has proved over the past 12 years he's a very good manager. The opposing argument is incredibly weak. Look I kind of agree, he has done very well for himself with Everton and I always thought he'd be a very good replacement for Sir Alex. The problem with him though from which I can gather from this season is that he doesn't seem to be able to have his team accept that they're the bigger team. He's mostly had his team play as underdogs in bigger games, and he comes in with the same mentality with his Man U side. Obviously, he's come in when the team is declining in both age and performance but he still sets his team up every week like he was managing an Everton side that was looking to finish top 6. To me he just doesn't seem to grasp the fact that he's managing a side that should be fighting for a league win. I think it would be harsh to sack him now, especially given the circumstances he's come into, but I'm not sure he's the right option either. The board will have to make a decision come end of the season and neither would surprise me. An example is yesterday, you're up 3-0 against Olympiacos but you give them the possibility to score, they never looked comfortable and with a bit of unluck like against Fulham and they're out. I saw his Everton side play very good football at times, but never consistently, and he for me has a bit of that Pardew mentality, just extremely scared of conceding goals rather than looking towards scoring goals. I do think it's harsh to call him a shit manager or coward, or even in Pardew's mould as he's a much better manager without a shadow of a doubt. But I think the questioning is absolutely right as there is huge doubts whether he's the right man for the job.

They're better than them in every single position except for Rooney and De Gea and possibly fullbacks but even then I think that Rafael is a liability in big games although if he can maintain his head cool he's a decent player (well under Sir Alex he was) and Evra is declining in form. I mean PSG has more depth, match winners on both ends of the pitch (Zlatan and Thiago) and extremely hardworking players that can cover more miles than any other player I've seen for a while (Cavani and Lavezzi). Add a midfield which have all types of attributes and I really don't see how PSG are overrated. I think they might surprise everyone. For me there are at the moment two teams above everyone Bayern and Real Madrid (I'd add Barcelona based on their two legs against City but they've been unmotivated turds in the league so I refuse too). Then I think it's a pretty open race between the rest except Man U. But we all know how Chelsea won the CL with Di Matteo and they were a horrible team in every possible aspect compared to their counterparts.
