Howay every striker is gonna go down under that contact. Minimal contact, minimal. Yes I can see why it was given, but for me football has to be a contact sport and penalties for this sort of minimal contact PLUS a red card just makes a mockery of the game. That would not have been a penalty 20/30 years ago. Football is getting soft as s****. Still. We played well for 30 mins + so positives. At least the commentators got what they want... I agree, it was minimal, but at moments like this Suarez gets the better off less intelligent players. Penalty and red card. I wonder more about the fact that it seemed the linesman had flagged for something and the ref didn't even care to talk to him.

World Cup is always proper no matter where it's played. It's the fuckign World Cup, biggest sporting event in the world. Once every four years, I don't care if it's played in Siberia, Alaska, Fiji or w/e. It's great and the best thing about the sport.

There's going to be some absolute beauty's of groups man. France, Italy, Netherlands, England and Portugal all in pot 4. Add teams like Mexico and US + the african teams and South American teams in pot 3 and it's going to be some amazing group. I'd love Iran, Nigeria/Algeria, Ukraine though.

I never for once thought Neymar would play as well as he has this year. Last year he was below par, now he's back to 2011 level if not even better. Seems to be improving every game that he plays as well.

That back 4 had Taylor playing England-worthy football, Colo was 2x the player he is currently for us, Danny Simpson and Ryan Taylor barely ventured up into attack and maintained their discipline. We also had Krul saving everything, which flattered our record at the time and Danny Simpson was saving s*** off the line a few times in that unbeaten run, right? Think that second sentence is really what had us unbeaten. Krul was unbelievable.
