  1. Comparing Ganso to Totti. I lost you man, labelling him a trequartista?
  2. Who the fuck is that?
  3. Injuries and emergence of Oscar and tbf he disappeared off the face of the earth before he joined Sao Paulo. Problem with Ganso is while he's talented he is extremely slow like snail pace and he is the complete opposite of athleticism. Someone that would have fit in well in the 80s but very few 10s like that are successful nowadays especially when they lack off the ball movement to go along with it. I think you probably could've ended your post after the first sentence because the second part is not true at all. There's a lot of players around that aren't speed merchants who are great footballers. His style of pace doesn't require pace, what it does require though is continuity which he hasn't been getting since he gets injured every 2-3 games. A reason for going to Sao Paulo were their facilities which are probably the best in Brazil, but he's still getting injured. He's over already. But I still don't agree that his pace has anything to do with how successful he's been thus far. He never needed off the ball movement when he was the creator and player couldnt get near them as he'd punish them with his techincal ability and vision.
  4. They really are since Neymar left. Don't think they're even trying particularly much but they're still not a very good team nowadays. No strikers and no defenders. And their decent midfielders wouldn't ever have a chance against Barcelonas defense anyways so...
  5. Obviously. Can't wait to see if Neymar and Messi click. If they do, it will be absolutely amazing to watch. Neymar - Messi - Pedro Iniesta If that s*** clicks I can't look beyond Barcelona winning the league and at least CL finalists no matter how weak you guys are at the back.
  6. Ajax, Anderlecht and PSV (tomorrow) @ 2.81 is probably worth a bit of money.
  7. Most definitely. If Pardew doesn't surprise us and goes crazy Cabaye - Siss Benny Remy Gomis Ciss

    Bafetimbi Gomis

Can't see Spurs going after Gomis after splashing the cash on Soldado and already having Ade and Defoe there.
  9. I'm seeing Remy as a winger for us. Benny - Gomis/Cisse - Remy

    Bafetimbi Gomis

21 goals and 8 assists in 50 games last season. 25 goals the season before in 54 games. Hasn't scored under 10 goals in Ligue 1 since 05/06 season.
  11. All three? Only if Cisse was sold

    Bafetimbi Gomis

Finally some movement at least, hope we get this done and go all in for Remy.
  13. We don't have the squad to cope with loaning out backups. I'm all for loaning out youngsters if they aren't a part of the 18 man squad week in week out that I expect Massadio to be. He's our backup fullback. If anything happens to Debuch/Santon + one CB we will be starting Williamson again...

    Loïc Remy

Sinclair will cost lots of money. There was talk of a £5 million fee wasn't there? Exactly. What do you think we are, a sovereign state or something?

    Loïc Remy

Genuinely, isn't that on the high side considering he already has an activated relegation release clause? I doubt a loan will negate that clause. If anything, it should be lower than the reported 6.8m clause. Didn't know about the release clause.
  16. Idiotic to even think about loaning Haidara out.

    Loïc Remy

I'd pay £2m if they inserted a buy-out clause below £10m. £2m is a risk worth taking. He's a good enough player to make us a top half team playing off Cisse with Benny.
  18. Can't wait for the La Liga season to begin. First time in 10 years I'm actually excited to watch it.
  19. You going to the game tonight?

    Other clubs' transfers

Never really rated him that high but was absolute class for Brazil this summer.

    Other clubs' transfers

Refuse to believe it. Starting next summer a clause in his contract that states if teams offer 35m they can get him. Reus is better than Bale IMO so you are getting a relative "bargain". Agreed. I love Reus. For me an extremely 'underrated' player.

I read £12m and thought the comments were a bit harsh but understandable. But £21 fucking millions?

Great signing for Tottenham, really like Soldado.
  24. OFFICIAL XI vs. Man, City (4-3-1-2): Amelia; Antonini-Zaccardo-Vergara-Constant; Traoré-De Jong-Muntari; Boateng; El Shaarawy-Petagna. Keep that in mind, but yeah they do look good but it was pretty obvious Navas, Fernandinho and Jovetic would improve them a lot. I think Pellegrini is the one who will improve them most. Mancini was always just holding them back, and a team that won the league with Mancini can only become better with a good manager.
