  1. Heh? Apart from some head-scratching posting of tables that don't lead to anywhere (Barton a prozone fiend?) he's hardly saying anything too controversial there. I mean, it's a fairly lengthy and long-winded post to just say "he has to prove it in Europe", but he doesn't say he's s*** or anything That's the thing though, he uses a load of statistic to make his point until he realizes he's completely wrong when it comes down purely to statistics and then says, well now he has to prove it in Europe. Do you see my way of thinking? There's nothing controversial about it, because he failed massively in his opinion. He has no idea what he is talking about, and comparing Serie A (Brazil) to Champions League? Fuck off Joey.
  2. http://www.joeybarton.com/neymar-what-i-really-think/ Joey and his opinion of Neymar. What a piece of shit to read, and the comments from Brazilian using google translate makes me even sicker.
  3. Laudrup does have the odd blip on there, but it still brings a lot of class. Think the majority of managers wouldn't have a CV without a poor show, here or there. I'm still waiting for Merlin to fill me in on Pochettino's managerial CV. Must still be listing his achievements... Stop posting man You have no idea what you are talking about.
  4. Of the Brazilians I think Cafu must have come the closest to win it all. Won everything that is possible to have been won for him. Rivaldo must have come closest to have won the 3 different although he only won one of them.
  5. Both have a World Cup to add to that too. Legends both of them
  6. That is beautiful the Roma kit. The Lazio kit isn't my taste though.
  7. Pretty impressive given you just signed Neymar.
  8. I don't see the excitement of Scott Sinclair, always looked an average footballer to me.

Does this make sense though? Surely making signings is either good or bad 100% dependent on who the player is? I'm jealous of their manager obviously... but there's nothing about their transfer strategy that suggests it's any better than ours at the moment. Exception being Michu if he keeps it up. If Bony had signed for us we'd be crying of joy.
  10. There was a 10minute delay in the first half because of their goalkeeper receiving treatment and then in the 70th minute the stadium lights in one part went out and the game stopped for another 10-12 minutes. S Those penalties were terrible, but dear me was the game the exact same as the first tie except reversed roles. Newell played with 11 behind the ball and completely tried to park the bus. Also, I think I fell in love with Bernard last night, what a player.
  11. I'd recommend anyone to put this on now. 1-0 (1-2 on aggregate at the moment) 15mins gone in the first half.
  12. Bernard scores after 4minutes. This just became hell of a tie now.

Pretty sure Götze is going to be tried as a false 9 a la Messi. Muller is also a sure thing on the right and Ribery on the left. I think Thiago will be fighting for a place with Kroos (who for me is a better player)
  14. The strikers of today are far better athletes; stronger and quicker. It's not about who likes elbowing defenders. If any league should be known for its atheltic forwards it is Ligue 1, and Yanga-Mbiwa is our most athletic centreback by far. I don't think Taylor provides anything more physically than Yanga-Mbiwa offers. He is however, a much more experienced player in this league and a better pure defender. I'm fairly confident in all three of our centrebacks when they are fit. In fact, I quite like the players we have in defence. We really need both of our fullbacks to perform consistently next season though, because neither did last season despite all of their talent. MBiwa has proven nothing thus far that suggests him to be our most athletic centreback in terms of strength and jumping ability. He has really not shown to be very strong and has been outmuscled everytime he has played a physically bigger player than him. For me he's more of Colo's replacement than his partner, although I'd love to have both working together since they're our two best central defender. But as of evidence until now Colo-Saylor has shown more potential.
  15. Newell just needs to score one. That's all they have to do. Both side's have the equal amount of quality in them, only problem in the first tie is the fact that Atletico tried to park the bus... Atletico has an ability to score goal so might get interesting after all, but still think Newells and especially being Argentinians won't let this opportunity pass by.

Building a mid-table team Norwich there. No relegation candidate anymore.

Apparently he isn't happy with Laurent Blanc being appointed new manager.
  18. Gouffran's more competition for Cisse, I think. He's not much good wide left. This He seems much much better suited to the striker role than the wide role.
  19. I think you are overrating Sinclair anyway, but he hasn't wasted that much time. Just this last season, really. He was an (expensive) youth player at Chelsea and was playing consistently at lower levels throughout his time at that club. It's easy to blame his club history, but I think he is an above average forward player, but ntohing more than that. Very well said

TBF are all good enough signings for depth. I'd have all of them here, Alcaraz > Willy, Joel > Elliott and Kone > Shola.
  21. Should be in for him. I assume you're referring to the Brasil national team here. And you can't do that, he's Belgian. Fred pisses all over him.
