And if there is one thing you should doubt its Baggios footballing intelligence. Come and tell me about it when you go to games. Why is that so important? Does every cretin with a season ticket automatically have a better understanding of the game because he's sat looking at it at the ground? Aye leave it alone. The guy clearly wanted to act like a prick, was just the wrong moment.

That defense would've leaked goals.

I came Looking back on this thread. Times have changed...

I think Baggio is a fucking . CT on the other hand just doesn't seem bright.

My thought exactly, tbh Suwon tried to to the same trick. Think the qataris had all the right in the world to do that after the Suwon players tried the same shit and failed miserably.

And if there is one thing you should doubt its Baggios footballing intelligence. Come and tell me about it when you go to games. First of all, I've been to SJP. Put a lot of money to get there so don't come with that bullshit. Second of all, what the hell does that have to do with footballing intelligence. You've been there once? Not even a part timer.

Baggio clearly has never played football at a decent level. Whatever he does with the ball at that moment the defender will be on him either blocking the pass or throwing himself at him. If Ben Arfa wanted to make that play, he would've had to done it right after his first touch where Ba had acres to run in, however, Distin would've gotten the better of him and also it's all easier to do from when looking from above then when on the pitch.

You underestimate the lad's intelligence : He was looking for Ba and when he tried to beat the last defender, he was still looking for Ba and the perfect pass. He failed and will fail again in similar situations. But when it succeeds, and it will, you just sit on your sofa and appreciate how pure pleasure football is I hope he does soon as he's played in 6 games at SJP so far and done next to nothing in all of them. aye, soon but unfortunately you'll disappear from this thread and I will desperatly ask where are you 10 games for us now and how many assists? The guy has played around 260minutes in a Newcastle shirt in the Premier League, couple coming at the end of games and you expect him to have scored 5 goals.

He was top class two years ago. For me the best one actually is Papiss Cisse. Agreed.

If we get 3 points from the 3 coming games, then we're contenders. Easy as. I'm expecting max a draw at home against Chelsea. Can't see us really getting any points tbh. 5 points would mean we're probably 2nd or 3rd after 14 games, which in my opinion would clearly mean we're title contenders, unforunately, there's no chance in hell we're getting five points. Id make Pissi drink his own piss if we did.

I have seen Marveaux play around 90 minutes so can't really judge him. But he didn't look very comfortable on the right tbh.

They have some good strikers there Senegal. Niang, Cisse. Sow and Ba are all very good strikers.

I know, I wrote I do not agree with that.

Pardew : “My view is that he can’t play out wide. He has not got the relish for it and his best football comes through the middle." How is that in anyway relevant to my post if I may ask? I wrote what I think should be done. Not what Pardew thinks. I've read that quote 50times before so it isn't something new, and even if his best football comes through the middle, him on the right given a free role a bit like Freddie Ljungberg was given at Arsenal will be better than playing Sammy on the left or right. Sammy has done well when brought on tbf, but it doesn't mean he deserves to be ahead of ben Arfa.

Fucking hell, agreeing with you too? Not possible...

I'm somewhere in between all of this. I feel in the longrun Ben Arfa is going to be crucial, as I don't believe Best and Ba will bring success over the course of a whole season. However, changing it right now would be harsh, I'd rather stick him on the wing since Best and Ba are getting us goals and causing defenders problems. However, I do not agree for a slight second that Ben Arfa should be behind Sammy Ameobi in the pecking order on the wing. Ridiculous.

What about the time when Ba was in space and only needed to be slipped through to have a clear run on goal, instead of doing that Ben Arfa heheld on to it too long and tried to beat the fullback again before losing possession. What he'll find is if he doesn't start releasing the ball at the right time soon then our players will stop making those runs, we've seen that with unpredictable players here in the past. I explained this in my post earlier. When he came on, our objective was to hold on to the lead not score another goal. This was what he was told to do by Pardew and this was what he did. Sure we could have done with a 3rd goal but it is not as simple as that. An attempted through pass could easily resulted in loss of possession if i) the pass went wrong, ii) was intercepted or iii) the striker (Ba) did not get to the ball on time. This would have been awful because our midfield was not only inferior but outnumbered and being overran and our defenders clearly knackered. His performance should be evaluated based on what he was told to do and our need in that particular game at that given point of time not just based on what we think is generally awesome. For once I agree with alpal. Weird day . Anyways, Baggio is clueless

I don't really understand why people go on about that he might not fit into Pardews tactics and so on. Is it only me or wasn't the plan that he would play behind the striker from the beginning? He got injured in the US and Best and Ba took their chances. As soon as one starts performing badly or HBA takes his chance he'll be starting upfront with one of the two. He'll fit into the tactic as the one we're playing now is from the beginning probably plan B. Wouldn't mind seeing him on the right against Shitty if Oby, Marv are out.
