Yet we scored 11 goals more than your shit last season. And lets get another thing very, very clear. No one likes you or your club.

I have a few Brazilian friends and they told he was a top class player when he was in Brazol with Sao Paulo. I thought he was pretty good at Fenerbache on the few occasions I've seen him, but that was ages ago. He was very good for Sao Paulo and is adored by their fans. I was talking about the World Cup, he got rave reviews but wasn't THAT good. He's been pretty average for the national team since then too.
-
He's been class for Fenerbahce this season apparently Fair enough, for the national team he's been terrible though. I'm no Colocho who watches 55games an hour, so can't comment on his form in Turkey but for the national team he's been 'meh'.
-
Lugano has been terrible since the WC and even then he was overrated.
-
He was, he's a good player, but theres something about him that I dont really like. He's a good player, but nothing spectacular which might be it.
-
Everyone has, they use it in the Brazilian league and I still don't understand why the UEFA haven't started with it. It really help a lot and the white mark disappears rather fast.

'...like Michael Owen' class.

If Lucas performs like he did against Venezuela in the 2nd half I really cant see him being dropped. Best performance I've seen from him and to be fair I don't watch much Liverpool but when I do he usually seems to be the worst player on the pitch but all managers keep picking him.

Argentinian are the worst organizers ever, really hope I wont have to eat up my words come 2013, 2014 and 2016. But why is there two matche played on the same field during the same night. Why is the last match of the group stages played at different times?
-
Yeah but will have spent almost 40% of that on Bent.

Wow, horrible second part of the post. How can you expect a team like Brazil or Argentina to look like a team when they've had less than a week playing together. Dunga had the same players at his disposal for many years, if you look back he actually lost against Venezuela with players looking like a team. Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Chile ain't Spain who have a squad made up of mostly players from 2 clubs who play together the whole time. It will take a while to gel and that's expected. It definitely is, but will only get better when the argentinian and brazilian players starts clicking with each other. Fun to see teams like Paraguay, Uruguay and Chile as they have squads more than capable of winning the title.

He didn't play well last night, was isolated on the left flank and tried the extra dribble way to many times. Thiago Silva and then dare I say it but Lucas Leivas second half were the best performances last night. Pato showed a lot of promise but must stay focused for every minute he'son the field. Sometimes he didn't expect the ball and when he got it he was surprised and missed the control. HE was also standing offside a lot which he was criticized for during the first half even if he was one of the betters in the last 20 minutes of the first half.
-
They were, and timid is probably the best word you can use. Only player who tried the direct approach was probably Pato who had the best chance of the game, Neymar tried the extra dribble, so did Robinho and Ganso didn't believe in his shot from outside the area even if he has a very good shot. To bad, but we'll no doubt grow in the tournament even if I'm not sure that'll be enough to win the whole tournament, but the important is to show that the project with the young kids is going in the right direction. If Lucas ever plays with Ganso, Pato and Neymar up top that 'quadruple' will have an average age of 19,7 or so which is quite ridiculous. The future is bright, but it's all about commitment.
-
Let the kid gel before you start judging them. Robinho can stay afar from the team, no need to have someone who slows down the game at every moment. Don't forget Ganso and Pato have come back from injuries having been more than 3 months away and will need match fitness to be able to get into their groove. Neymar was absolutely terrible and we're lucky to have the worlds best central defender in Thiago Silva who saved us plenty of times today. Lucas Leiva, was crap for the first half, but god what a good performance he had in the 2nd half, probably the best I've ever seen him play and yet he was average. Also Ramires had without a doubt a 'Chelsea' performance, was his worst in the yellow shirt. Hope these guys stay calm and as Elano pointed out, in 2007 we lost to Mexico 2-0 but still went on to beat the Argies 3-0 and win the whole thing. Have no doubt this team has the talent to win it all, but it's all about being able to play as a team. Uruguay is the only team who has been playing together without major changes for 3-4 years now and also been practicing together for a month now.
-
I've just read that the last game between Brazil and Venezuela finished 0-0. Definitely won't be easy, anyone thinking Brazil will trash Venezuela must think these guys will click directly, because thats the only chance of us completely trashing them.
-
Was quite surprised that he moved, but now I see the amount he's going to earn. Fucking ridiculous like. Great argentinian player, the Brazilian people want to see him in our national team since he's eligible to apply for Brazilian citizenship if he ahsn't already gotten it. Great litte playmaker.

Spot the odd one out. Of that lot I obviously don't believe CRonaldo to be a part of that level, but many in here do so I put him in there.
-
Exactly, there can be talks about Maradona, Garrincha, Cruyff, Messi, Ronaldo, CRonaldo, Zidane, Platini, Beckenbauer, Zico, Romario, Baggio but no one will ever be as big as Pele, he's the step above all of them. I have no doubts Messi has the talent to one day be up there, but so did Ronaldo and Zidane and they never really reached that magical level. People talk about how Messi plays in a modern game where its so much harder because of the level and speed of the game. But people tend to forget that Pele played under an era where he was brutally kicked every 2 minutes. He had no protection, nowadays the referee protects players from being physically murdered back then they didn't. Pele had to leave a World Cup (his only without winning it) because he was so brutally taken care off by defenders and the referees didn't care. I can only imagine how that World Cup would've looked like had he not been injured by the Bulgarian and Portuguese defenders. For you who haven't watched those games, you should look, even Parana (right back during that World Cup) has personally told me and relatives about how it was even worse than what you saw on TV. Maybe Pele would've won 4 World Cups and been even bigger than what he is had he been protected by referees. Messi is without a doubt the best right now, but to start comparing him with the greats is still silly. People say 'why does he have to win with the national team' and so on, well the answer is really easy, he has to prove that he can win outside his comfort zone at Barcelona.

How can anyone say that Jonas should start ahead of Marveaux against Arsenal. Isn't preseason the pretty important to determine who starts and where?
