Merson on Gutierrez on Soccer Saturday: "If he keeps playing like that every week he'll be playing for Man Utd, Chelsea or Liverpool soon" What a fucking prick!
-
Go to the papers?, he was asked a question and he answered it.. Should he have ignored the question so Oliver could write a "Keegan upset to still have Ameobi" article? He's just reinforcing what he's telling Ameobi himself. We know its nothing more then that so why the fuck does anyone care?, as long as Ameobi's thick enough to believe it then it can only be a good thing.
-
Listening to BBC Radio Newcastle now and I'm getting... Sunderland.. WTF?
-
He's doing what Keegan does best, putting belief into players.. Do people expect him to say positive things to Ameobi and then go to the papers and call him worse then shit?
-
To be honest I really don't remember Ronaldo ever coming out and making such a direct statement about wanting to leave.

Had I been in Robinho's position I would've left Madrid as well. It's not about being a big club to get a big payday. It's about getting to play games, though seemingly in Robinho's case also get a big payday at another big club, but at least get to play games. Hmm thought he'd played the majority of there games last season but looking closer I see he's lost his place a bit last season and made only 21 starts.

Still hope they beat the Spuds tomorrow

So we now have players telling clubs like Real Madrid that they need to leave for Chelsea to further there career.. money has sent the game fucking crackers!
-
Cant really disagree with him, i mean where would we be now if Owen was injured for the 2nd half of last season? The Championship? That kind of logic would make sense to a degree if nothing had changed since last season, but since that isn't the case it doesn't.
-
You defended the journal's article by saying that they were just getting at the fact that he's happy at the club. I was saying that being happy to stay doesn't equal turning anyone down which is what the journal claimed.. Not sure why you think I'm arguing with you directly.
-
Well you defended an article called "Javier Saviola Turns Down United Loan" so its not a huge leap to think that you'd agree with it.. What they're getting at is a negative eye catching headline, nothing more. They could easily have chosen a more accurate title such as "No Saviola offer made" or "Saviola happy at Madrid".
-
Nonsense mate its the usual negative misleading headlines. The player has basically said that unless the manager accepts an offer for him or tells him he won't play regularly he will stay. Which is obvious, you don't leave Real Madrid while you're wanted and will play regularly.. Not for Newcastle, not for Man Utd, not for AC Milan or anywhere else. That doesn't equal turning anyone down, he could have done that by dismissing the idea of a move here out of hand, but he didn't.

Who let Frings' agent on here? Didn't say he was right, just that my reply was to the suggestion of buying Frings for big money, not buying him full stop..
-
The person I replied to seemed to indicate we'd need to pay big money for Frings.
-
If Woodgate and Coloccini both played for us I'd still pick Coloccini.
-
Which top teams buy 32 year olds for big money though?
-
Have to say i'd have liked him only on loan but I think Saviola is the better prospect, Can play as striker or attacking midfield. We'd only really need a powerhouse in a holding midfield role and a left back. Ideal situation is Saviola, Attacking midfielder, Holding Midfielder and left back but a bit of a big ask in 2 weeks unless the deals have been worked on for sometime. When it comes to centre midfielders, we need someone with a "quality" that they can bring to the side. Now i know that sounds obvious but what i mean is, we need someone who can bring a more specfic attribute. For example, if we brought in Tim Cahill we know he would get beyond the strikers and grab us a few goals from midfield or if we got Diarra we know he would dominate the midfield and win the ball. Although, Tiago is decent on the ball i feel right now we need a player that adds something special to our midfield. Frings would do it especially if the purse strings have been loosened. Too old, he's 32 in three months time.

Nowt like going overboard. It seems like a normal post then BAM, you read the last bit To be fair "do a job against" doesn't necessarily mean beat, just means we'd have a team capable of giving anyone a game, not far wrong IMO.

What a complete wanker..

That'll probably be the same day that people start refusing to go to the cinema or buy films because the likes of Will Smith get £10 million per movie. Or the same day people refuse to pay there TV license due to Jonathan Ross getting paid £115,000 per week.. oh hold on that's today, maybe not then

don't even f***ing start What the hell's your problem?! It's a forum so i will "f***ing start" to discuss issues/topics/points of interest at my leisure. I'm not getting involved in an internet argument with you as that's just lameo. If you have an actual constructive view that engages with the facts then please respond. If not, read the post and move on. The fact is, out of Keegan's very own mouth, he said Wise and Jimenez told him they'd got Jonas in, and so he then went to look him up. Also, Keegan hadn't seen much of Coloccini before he came here by the sounds of it. Watch the post-match interview on the bbc website in the manu-toon report. Skip forward to 2minutes and 7 seconds and listen on from there. I also heard Keegan say that last season against Bolton was when Guthrie caught his attention and why we signed him.. Seems that in some area's Keegan has his own ideas on players and in others he can just say "I want a left winger who's direct with pace, I want a central defender who's strong and composed" ect and Wise, Jiminez ect go and get them.. Either way he'll have the final say before the deal is all finalised.

Wonder where shithead is now? Did he actually get banned or did he just crawl back under the stone/bridge he came from?
-
Sorry but words couldn't express my thoughts quite as well as that smillie.

No way that we can sign 4 players in two weeks It takes us 3 months to sign 4 players and now we are suddenly going to sign another 4 in 2 weeks. Aint going to happen people. Expect one more signing We'll have been working on some of the players Keegans referring to as long or longer then others we've already signed. Its not a case of signing four in three months and then four in two weeks, its eight in three and a half months.
