I agree that huddlestone is more likley to get a sub apearance for England's first team before Taylor plays for them. Simply because midfield subs come on willy nilly for England for little reason other then to give them some time on the pitch, especially in friendlies (how else would Jenas ever get a game..). Which doesn't happen often in the centre of defence. But if we're talking about starting a competetive England first team game, Taylor will get there first IMO. There are even more players in line to start games ahead of Huddlestone then there are in front of Taylor..
-
More like Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, David Beckham, Scott Parker, Kieron Dyer, Jermaine Jenas, Joey Barton, Nigel Reo-Coker and Mark Noble Compared to Rio Ferdinand, John Terry,Jaime Carragher Ledley King, Sol Campbell, Jonthan Woodgate (Bramble has no chace of being ahead of Taylor).

Sorry have I walked into a different thread here? What on earth are you talking about NE5? What does anything you've said have to do with my post?... Where in this thread have I even mentioned Luque's name until right this moment? What the fucks happening? Are you mental? End of questions...
-
What does "as against Luque" mean then? I said its ridiculous to list those players he mentions at the end in the "even there good signings weren't all that good" section of the article. As if that rabble are the best player Newcastle have signed.. how about the likes of: Alan Shearer, Peter Beardsley, Les Firdinand, Andy Cole, Robert Lee, Shay Given, Nolberto Solano, Philippe Albert, Gary Speed, David Batty, David Ginola, Keith Gillespie Just off the top of my head... Just shows the bloke is fucking clueless..
-
Dietmar Hamman, Kieron Dyer, Scott Parker, Laurent Robert, Craig Bellamy and Michael Owen are the best Newcastle buys this fucking clown can think of? Just shows what a clueless muppet Andy Boulton (who?) is...
-
What a coincidence eh? Dortmund admit that they've pulled out of the transfer and just as that happens Sevilla become interested....
-
Or maybe he saw loads of Deportivo's matches.. well ok that's unlikely since its Souness. But my point is its a total myth that Luque only looked good in compilation videos, he was consistently a top player in Spain. Anyway. back to the Souness/Shepherd bashing, proceed!

You can't really compare Thaksin Shinawatra to Roman Abramovich IMO. They aren't in the same league of... erm... richness.. Shinawatra's worth about £750,000, Abramovich is worth more like £6 billion Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to spoil anyones party here, £750 million's still a lot of money obviously. I'm just saying that he certainly can't afford to go on any £350 million spending spree like Mr Abramovich.

There you go, I've fixed it for you...

IMO there's nothing wrong with the amount mentioned. I'd be happy enough with £13 million for Martins. But while we may be happy to sell Martins in early July for £13 million, we certainly wouldn't agree to sell the week the transfer window closes... This clause means its out of our hands, a club could come in 2 days before the window and leave us £13 million richer but a striker short, with no time to replace him. Same goes for Owen, and that's the real problem here. I agree with something that was said earlier. We should sit them both down and offer them a new contract, same money but without the clauses. If they refuse to sign assume they're gone and buy replacements, leave the fuckers as third and fourth choice for the season... We simply cannot risk being put in a situation where our season is ruined by these two players..
-
Dear me, this brings the silly season to new heights.. Why would Owen want to leave Newcastle for Man City? No offence to them, but they don't have anything to offer that we don't have, they have less to offer in fact. Even if Man City offered Owen considerably more then the £115,000 a week he gets here I still doubt he'd go there...
-
Almost maybe, but one or two words can make a hell of a difference. Not sure which comment you mean though so perhaps your right. Still compared to the original point its quite different.
-
That is correct, but not what was actually said.
-
You're throwing stones from one hell of a flimsy glass house.
-
Whats that even supposed to mean?..

20 goal a season strikers don't come cheap, Bent was out injured for half the season and he still scored more than Berbatov who some seem to value at £30m But Berbatov also creates goals for his team maters...How many assists did Bent have compared to Berbatov ? Doesn't matter how many assists Bent got. A strikers job is to score goals, not set them up for other people. What do you mean it doesn't matter? Of course it matters, the more goals that player adds to the team the better. If a player can score 15 and create 10 he's worth more to the team then a player who scores 20 but doesn't create any.

I'm not certain you realise just how many lemons Allardyce has bought in the past. People learn from their mistakes, tbf... I'd be interested to see them listed, along with the transfer fee's paid...
-
If he was something special everyone would of heard of him. At hiss age he's done his learning, he's not one for the future, and the PSG fans dont even know what his best position is, at 26, that's very Aaron Hughes of him. Did Aaron Hughes ever get player of the year then?... The negativity surounding this transfer is becoming tiresome. People keep claiming this guy must be average because he's not well known and keep bringing up this supposed info from PSG fans saying they don't know what his best position is. But the overiding fact is these same fans voted him player of the season and the French as a whole chose him as one of the best two central defenders in the league.. Say whatever you want about the French league but its not that poor.. This all points towards Rozehnal being a good player IMO, not great but not average either.
-
When the original rumour was posted here a few people seemed to think he hadn't yet given up on the club being taken over by the consortium he was backing before he left. Who knows if that was based on anything solid. But if that is the case he'd take some persuading to take another job if there's any chance of being reinstated at Arsenal. But as I said, I hope he has given up on that idea and that Ashley has approached him and convinced him that his future is at Newcastle. I'd piss my pants with excitement if that happened to be honest.
-
Yeah there have been rumours that Dein was the man Ashley wanted to run the club, mostly based on the fact that they know each other and live near each other. But his love for Arsenal makes it unlikely IMO, hope I'm wrong though.
-
Hopefully David Dein, unlikely but I can hope.
-
Its been posted in this thread a few times, he was also picked in the French leagues team of the season.
-
I've never seen him play. But I'd definitely question how a defender that makes lots of defensive mistakes could possibly be voted player of the season..
