  1. The linesman's looking right across the line and their's not a chance he can see any of our players on the other side of Vardy. Tough call or not its offside and I guarantee its given offside against us.
  2. They scored a offside goal, of course nowt matters other than 1-0 though, might as well bring McClaren back eh? Wasnt actually offside according to some ref on Sky (Dermot Gallagher I think) Really?, what was his reasoning for that then?, Vardy has different rules applied to him than the rest of the league, only his left foot needs to be onside?

  4. Unlucky not to get a point. Looked far more organised than usual and their goal was quite clearly offside. Still certain players haven't changed, Sissoko for instance is a fucking calamity. Either wasting possession or actively getting in the way of our own players (Mitrovic would have had a clear scoring opportunity had he not got right in front of him). Also Janmaat just goes through the motions, never looks like he's really crossing with any intent, just hopeful "I tried" balls into the box, same with his passing.

Aye, he tried to turn things around but the recruitment policy made him consistently pick Jack Colback and forced him to inexplicably drop Mitrovic for Riviere in a must win game. Oh wait, did it fuck! Proper cockends obviously if they were limiting what he could say and recruitment should have been better, but McClaren was ultimately.to blame for results.
  6. We're perfectly capable of relegating ourselves thanks..

Just seen Slaven Bilic's comments on McClaren's sacking. Basically saying he's not sure why we've sacked him because its not like we've had a terrible season and this kind of thing is normal for us looking at the last 4 or 5 seasons, what a cretin. I mean not only is that patently wrong, but even if it was true he's basically saying that because we haven't done great in recent years we should be happy to sleep walk into relegation
  8. On the plus side at least he'll never sink as low as to manage Leeds
  9. It goes on to say the concerns are from fans who are getting nervous because of the delay in confirming his appointment Typical nothing article desperately masquerading as news.
  10. If we do get Benitez in (can't believe I'm even contemplating it..) we at least need to have him confirmed and at the match even if he's not officially picking the team. Just having him watching with the players knowing he'll be the new manager could help to motivate them.

I think their was a time when performances did look like they were improving, but not now, especially the Bournemouth game which was a joke quite frankly. I mean we just couldn't do a thing away from home but at home we were doing ok. So instead of just playing the same team that beat West Brom he fucks about with team selection and picks the likes of Riviere, lost us 3 very crucial points and I lost any faith I had left in him there.
  12. Its just absolutely mind blowing stupidity, two managers that have done pretty much fuck all vs a man who's won things almost everywhere he's been, including the very top honours.
  13. Are they fucking serious? Deal with that shit IF he keeps us up FFS. For now just get him in for the remaining 10 games, we don't have time for this shit right now!
  14. Correct sadly. Or he could come for just the 10 games and all of that wouldn't matter.
  15. The King?, back to the top?
  16. He would make an immediate difference simply by drilling a routine into the players that would at least make them organised.

They should definitely back McClaren.. into a corner and set the fucking dogs on him.

I wouldn't be unhappy with that at all, far better than some of the alternatives, like for instance McClaren staying, or some complete relic coming in to replace him. How about that bit Aye that would be shit, still better than keeping McClaren at this stage as at least it offers some chance of a change helping us stay up, but a shit appointment none the less.

What?, Benitez is planning a bomb threat for the weekend?

They'd still have to have the press conference a day or so later anyway as its a requirement they're contracted to. So doesn't help them as far as not wanting to discuss why they kept McClaren on. Only reason to cancel it is if they need to delay discussing the managers position for a day or two for some reason.
  22. Sunderland chose Di Canio/Poyet over Benitez apparently  Just when you worry this thread might be a bit embarrassing for the forum that lot make it all seem really sensible and reasonable by comparison

Board meetings to discuss McClarens position followed by tomorrows pre-match conference being cancelled and McClaren then summoned to meet the managing director. All points towards McClaren losing his job today. But in Newcastle United land it'll be a meeting to discuss the possibility of talking about what McClaren wants to do about the new wall paper in his office "How do you feel about bare walls in order to cut costs Steve?"
  24. Almost definitely right on Benitez, but I don't think we'll stick with McClaren.
