I doubt they'd be safe/want to walk around their own town

Are you referring to his "Arsenal fans are shite, that's why I'm going." comments? What a prick. Yes, I'm sure he went around all the grounds with one of those things that measures decibels and signed for the loudest on that basis. The small detail that the club that won have a squillionaire sheik bankrolling them with infinite monies is purely coincidental. How could Arsenal get any quieter than what they were at Highbury? They were 3-0 up before half time once and I still could hear the low frequency hum of the beer fridges located in the concourse directly opposite to the one I was standing in. Did people see the fans of both sides get interviewed? absolute mongfest for some of it, particularly the arsenal ones then went to city fans, all sort of reasonable, then all of a sudden went onto this fat woman with one of those sky blue wigs on
  5. Same here. got a lot of time for their fans tbh though, always sort of "related to them", as in thought big club, underachievers. get the feeling the taste of success isn't quite what they imagined the way it has happened. guess we'll never find out. it just wouldn't feel the same, surely you would expect it. what I can't wait for (hope for) is the feeling of going into a cup final with a 50/50 chance of winning, and coming out on top. I don't expect their 30 whatever year wait coming to an end with a multimillionaire side against stoke would have been the feeling they hoped for

Our set of strikers is absolutely appalling, probably worse than what we started the Championship season with. Exactly, what I mean is Ba is the minimum improvement we would have hoped for at the start of 2011, with Carroll

#attheendoftheday we've probably improved where we wanted had we kept out squad from 2011. however, we've also sold people who were indispensable imo and it will be tough to improve

Everyone knew Enrique was off,Nolan was a bit out of the blue but meh, barton was disappointing, but can't say i was overly shocked, Carroll leaving was possibly my worst feeling as an NUFC fan, absolutely gutting, really didn't think he was off. I agree with the sale of Nolan (considering what he wanted/money got for/better replacement hopefully) The others should all be here if we were a club going forward. its shite but we need to accept we're a 100% selling club. 1 year ago i was adamant that we have a tight group of lads who were dedicated to the cause, and would be here for years. now I don't expect anyone to stay, as I know as soon as a decent offer comes in, we'll sell, and I don't blame them for leaving. sad times

If offered 81k in two months time, Barton would come back - under some of the logic in here. If we'd offered Barton £80k a week in May even for 3 years he'd have snapped our hands off. I also bet if we'd given Nolan the same deal West Ham have offered he'd have signed it, and we'd not have heard a peep of "no ambition" out of the two. Our ambition would be shown by keeping our key player (s) nolan excluded, not been on this wage-cutting mission that golfmag suggested yonks ago. and his integrity is backed up by suggesting ashley could be an absolute cunt as he first took over

If we'd offered what the players were valued at in terms of wages and contracts, I believe they'd still be here. not nolan though, not need to give him a contract that he wanted with 2 years left

In a similar situation, to whatever scale you earn at the minute, what would you do? would you fuck stay and stick it out. if your not appreciated for what you contribute, why would you stay. I'm not criticising Nolan in this instance, more commenting on the idea that giving Kevin Nolan a 5 year deal on the reported wages is a sign of 'ambition'. To me, getting rid of him and attempting to replace him with younger, more dynamic footballers is more of a sign of ambition. This has never been the problem with me, it's the fact I don't think we'll replace Barton and the fact we're happy to have fuck all squad depth that pisses me off. for west ham it is a sign of ambition. flash back two years after witnessing what nolan had done for whoever in the championship, then followed it up with another very impressive season back in the prem, im sure we would have been very happy with signing him, and thought it to be very ambitous. although, I agree with you on the 5 year front, maybe that's just what it needed to take to get him in, in that respect in 3 years they may regret it, but someone else in the championship might keep the cycle going

What about who has joined then, HBA, Cabaye, Colo, Jonas, Marv, Simpson, Williamson, Ba, Tiote, Obertan, Best, Haris, Abeid, Gosling are the board not to blame for their arrivals ? Cmon, all of our big players that have left, excluding Carroll who from what I remember didn't criticize the board completely in public, let alone shearer and keegan, have said our board are complete twats. HBA was on loan at first, perhaps appreciated the faith we showed in him, Cabaye maybe fancied a go at the prem, colo didn't know what he got himself into, fans were optimistic at the time with KK here, marveaux see cabaye, Simpson had fuck all else to go, Williamson see simpson, Ba, we see any other offers?, Tiote, see cabaye/marv (just got promoted, club on the up, good team spirit etc, Obertan, as if he was making it at man utd, Best, would he turn us down? Haris, young player, great opportunity to make it, Abeid, see haris, Gosling, well, similar club stature, decent move for him still I would say

For those thinking its not the boards fault, look at everyone who's fkn left, all saying/criticizing the board. llambiarse is fucking twat man
