Elmander was great for Toulouse and its clear that he struggled in the premiership as he had to aclimatize. Though to be fair to him, Megson was a horrible coach and Elmander was often not used in the right way.

I heard that the current offer from Bolton is asking him to lower his pay. At the same time they have offered Cahill a new improved contract. I think Bolton needs to get him an offer out thats on par with how he currently performs. Otherwise Elmander could be a steal for an other club. Would be great for us.

Though maybe it for Bolton would be worth saying no to a 4 mil Elmander bid in january if he keeps his form up. ven if that means no money in the summer window.

Johan Elmander would be great. His contract is running out next summer so he will be free to talk to clubs. Bolton might wanna cash in. Elmander and Carroll upfront would be a mean pair of forwards

I think the right trophy signing could make some of our fringe players a whole lot better. A playmaker could make a hughe difference for us. Imagine a good Riquelme style of player instead of Nolan and we would have a brutal 4-2-3-1. Nolan would still be the perfect squad player for away games against Stoke and such..

Sunderland getting Gyan, massive signing by them I have to say. Gyan - Bent will be a great attack line. Damn.

Zoggy's been playing right wing mostly for Wigan

Zoggy seems very close to Birmingham move. This could mean Larsson is up for grabs. Would be a good player for us, great right foot and can play in various right sided positions. Good for right back.

Johan Elmander is starting to show his quality. I beleive this season will be a good one from him now that he has settled in to the EPL. A good Johan Elmander, running around alot would have been an ideal second striker to play along Carroll. Too bad we didn't realise this earlier since he could have been a bargain signing in june.

Santa Cruz is not what we need. We need a pacey creative forward.

If we do sign Ben Arfa. How do you think Hughton will use him. alot of people seem to think he will replace Nolan in the line up. This is something I really dont beleive myself. I thin Ben Arfa will get the left wing, Jonas will be move to the right and Nolan will stay in the middle behind Carroll. ----Jonas-------Nolan--------Ben Arfa----- -----------------Carroll----------------------- Assuming we get Ben Arfa, how I would love to get some quality player in to replace Nolan. Focus on getting Huseklepp instead

Norwegian media is all about who will get Huseklepp now. They are listing scouts from about 20 clubs at the Norway vs France friendly yesterday. Unfortunately no mention of Newcastle..

Swedens Wernbloom could do really well in the EPL I think. Will be interesting to follow how he develops internationally and in Alkmaar

Just saw Sweden beat Scotland 3-0. Scotland was shite, but the swedes had some really interesting young players making a good game. They might have a great new generation in Bajrami, Lustig, Toivonen, Wernbloom, Safari and Berg. Ibrahimovic, Bajrami and Toivonen scored in a great livewly performance.

Its a shame we were so stuck in the 4-4-2 when we had Robert. He would have been absolutely brilliant in a modern offensive winger in a 4-3-3 / 4-2-3-1 formation

This surely means it would be easier to nick Sebastian Larsson from them. We really could need his right foot. Would be a great addition to our squad methinks..

Jonas plays right back for Argentina and he is probably comfortable on the left back position aswell. Maybe ha could be used in the backline for us aswell? I can see it be good to be honest.

On the german list Guerrero and Hamit Altintop would be excellent.

I'd also start looking for season long loans. Sturridge Vela Van Aanholt

Maestorovic would be a good player to have for about 2 seasons. Could really improve our backline. Great physical player, good in the air. Swedish international, first choice centre back with Mellberg at the moment. He is 32 years old but the guy peaked late and will surely have 4 good years left in him. Would be cheap atleast

Sell Jonas and get Sebastian Larsson and Gamst Pedersen on free transfers. Good biz imo.
