Yeah like I said yesterday that is the way it should be done as imo ultimately they came to the correct decision. If that penalty had been given against us people would be up in arms screaming about it hitting his leg. the issue I have with the clear and obvious pish is for example that Liverpool penalty v Fulham, like today that ref should have been over at the monitor looking at that.

The whole clear and obvious thing is a farce.

The only complaint I have about the penalty incident is the inconsistency. Ref got told by var to go to the screen today whereas the incident this week for Liverpool v Fulham the ref didn’t go have a look and VAR went with the refs first decision when clearly it was wrong. Just a lack of consistency.

I think an important factor creeping in is the officiating. Liverpool managed to get 6 points over the last 3 games due to blatant refereeing or VAR errors. If they drew both those games it’d already be over and as we’ve just seen Man Utd have been handed a lifeline. I’m not one for corruption conspiracy’s but we just don’t get those decisions.

The refereeing in England is ruining the game. Completely ruining any enjoyment. I’m now watching games with very little confidence the big decisions will be correct. It’s actually unbelievably got worse since VAR

Fairly surely martinelli had a one on one in first half. martinelli off the bar in 2nd half too? so if it wasn’t for pope (granted it’s what he’s there for) the goal, saka, martinelli 1 on 1s and odegaard on stroke of half time could have saw arsenal score 4 in first half. Odegaard brought out another great save from pope just after martinelli’s 1 on 1

They were clean thru with only pope to beat 3 times in the first half. Only thing I can really remember us doing in first half was Murphy hitting the post. In the 2nd half isak hit the post but martinelli hit the bar and of course they got the 2nd goal you can post any stats you want arsenal deserved to win and it was done by 72 mins
