Shelvey played half an hour for Forest today. His first minutes since we sold him. So unless you think him coming on for us for half an hour today would have won us the match, selling him has cost us zero points so far.
Disingenuous argument; he’s been injured most of the season. He’d have come on today and would get minutes over the next month in my view. None of our midfielders outside Bruno can play a through ball; he can. Stupid gamble.

I didn't even mention today's match.
Sure, but you did refer to fans as “fickle and entitled arseholes”. Nothing fickle or entitled about massive disappointment at today’s wretched performance.

Yep, that would motivate him and the squad.Would you mind explaining how insisting a player sticks to his contract would demotivate the squad? He wanted to leave for money and job security, but we don’t have depth. I’d rather protect our interests than his.

Shelvey pleaded to go. We don’t stand in the way of that. And I think that was a mistake. A firm but polite no would have been my move. We don’t have a deep enough squad.

The future of NUFC has a far bigger picture than Jonjo Shelvey getting a few minutes here and there this season.
Fine - sell in summer. Need a squad and he’s more than capable as a squad player.

The way people are going on, this isn't a one-off though.
Think people are concerned and it’s fair enough. We’re not playing well, and today was a very poor performance.

His point still stands.Calling people entitled for saying today was shit?! No it doesn’t. That was a bad performance. You’re thick if you think otherwise.

What’s really dull about the entitlement brigade is that they won’t acknowledge what they just saw: that was a very poor performance. Leeds draw we battered them, arsenal draw was very creditable, Palace draw we battered them without creating, West Ham we edged it. All of those draws are fine and I take no issue with them.
But today we looked like we’d met each other for the first time and couldn’t do the basics. That was just a bad show, stop pretending otherwise.

It's a combination of tiredness, lack of depth and players with one eye on the cup final.
We're still punching massively above our weight, and our fans need to stop reacting like fickle and entitled arseholes. Just my opinion.
Such a shit take. We played badly today, it’s anti-factual to suggest otherwise. Folk are rightly miffed. They’re championship bound, have a mediocre squad and a sub-mediocre manager in literally his first job. It’s fine to be held by a team that plays well but today we held them, just. Worst performance of the season. Hate the “well it’s a point” argument. Fuck that, we were rubbish.
-
Mediocre again. We really need to have a rethink about how we attack.

Do you mean ‘make payments off the books’ creative, or ‘sell one of the handful of players who’d bring in really good money’ creative? Because the latter doesn’t seem that great an idea at present.
I mean do whatever you need to do to maintain a great season and address the the fact that we’re clearly running out of steam.

And I can’t say it enough that we were well and truly pushing it with FFP. The club has said it repeatedly, and are you blind to what is going on at Man City?
You can’t just spend and spend and spend. It’s a rebuild that will take years.
Then get creative. That’s the challenge they took on.

We continue to look completely off the pace. Can’t say it enough that freshening up the squad in January was a no-brainer.

Nar but he's got to be given a chance
Christ, writing him off after less than a half despite the fact in previous appearances he's shown quality.
Not writing him off, just saying he’s been poor today.

Wilson was off the pace for weeks and was doing nowt, not surprising people were wanting a bit of a change.
Does Isak look on the pace to you? He’s been crap.
-
Let this remind people who called for Isak to start ahead of Wilson. He’s been dogshit.
-
Poor window and we look worse for it.
-
Such a weird thing - was so obviously a bad appointment from the outset for a team that has been circling the drain a few seasons.

He buries that Wilson chance.
I think we have to concede that it was just brilliant defending; great tackle. Woodgate-esque.

Like a real prick I agreed to go on holiday with the chica and family months ago, not even thinking to check. So I’ll be waiting approx 10AM at a sports bar/shack in Montego Bay. Hopefully they allow rum and a jerk bucket from 0800 onwards.

Boring. I’m very disappointed with our performance today. Howe said he was too - should he “give his head a shake”? Get out of the echo chamber.
