That's because Arsenal have never really cared about Spurs for the past umpteen years as they've been so insignificant. They care far more about their games with Man Utd.

Oh dear, I saw this earlier on SSN.

?? scored at sjp for villa when we beat them 5-1....even barry venison(90's player of ever there was) scored Wasn't that Stefan Beinlich? And I think Venison scored his belter the year after.

Crazy, isn't it. You can finish 6th and still qualify for the Champions League. Madness! 2nd - 5th in the playoff, isn't it? Aye, and 6-9 in a playoff for an Intertoto place
-
And for the teams that don't win, there's the prospect of the daft playoff system.

Pfft, there are a stack of London clubs in the PL, it's clearly London bias.

I take your point, but he also had ability and a brain. Carr played well today, yes? He was ok, no more, no less.

No. He was behind the ball when Rooney played it.

To be fair to her, she's a radio commentator, so it's always going to sound weird until she gets used to describing pictures to people who can see them rather than people who can't. But it just didn't quite seem right...

Things like this, and the Tyler/Gray comments on the Schwarzer/Solskjaer incident just exacerbate problems for referees. Some fans hear what these loons have to say and take it as read that the referee is wrong. Redknapp is defending the ref's decision there, saying it wasn't a pen. Sorry, yes, they're both wrong. I'm sure you can see my point in there somewhere....

Absolutely correct. The dropping and kicking are considered a complete clearance, so the referee was spot on to pull Solskjaer up for it. It was however just about the only time all day Mr Walton was spot on...

Agree totally with the point of the original post. Negative mentality, negative tactics. Dull. Get tae fuck, Roeder.

Possibly a copter somewhere in the Carribbean covering the Cricket World Cup?

Don't hold back, Rabbi Paul, tell us what you really think. Howard Webb was utterly shocking, by the way, as per usual. .. i've seen several of Webb's games and i've always been impressed with his decisions and his behavior. i think he's one of the better english refs.. but yeah, today he made some really stupid decisions.. Agreed. There have been too many incidents over the years with Webb and Newcastle that have turned me off to the bloke, although I do appreciate that he seems to have a better reputation than most these days. Speaking as a Toon fan, though, he's not in my good books at all. EDIT: I should really note that the "as per usual" referred to him in Newcastle games, as this seems to be where the confusion is stemming from. Can't disagree with much you say. Howard seems to save some of his worst performances for us. Generally I think he's an excellent referee but today he was quite poor.
