Not that long ago a book called Left foot in the grave was written by a so called journeyman footballer called Gary Nelson. This is a real autobiography by a real footballer and a real insight into how it used to work and how it still works for the majority. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Left-Foot-Grave-Garry-Nelson/dp/0002187744 Geordie Passion is quite a Toon version of Fever Pitch (which is a must ready regardless of which team you support) written by Mark Hannen in the mid-90s. Mark works in the Toon press office now. Another good one is Season in the sun by a Rochdale fan Mark Hodgkinson.

I'm going to be in DC for the Man Utd game in November before flying back to the UK later that night. Is this place a good meeting place to watch it in good company? Will also be in Nashville for the City game and looking for a good tip on somewhere to watch there too.

Ian Dennis on Radio5 saying he's given his word to Fulham and is going there despite being offered more money to join us. Kerb crawler David Pleat said its because Fulham are in London.

Fulham win probably means our game gets moved

Some lass had 'Danny Simpson' 'My Boy' or something along those lines with a picture of Simpson in the middle. Stalker-tastic. Must have been the same lass I saw with the white crop shorts and large ra..... smile

He's a ned (scottish charv) managing a football team basically. I was there last night a sat about 10 rows behind the dugout he was in. From start to finish he was confrontational to the ref, and his general posturing is inflamatory. He got a Hearts player booked at one point for telling the ref it was his 2nd found of the night. He complains about everything and just doesn't behave like a manager should. Even at the end when he'd have been best getting into the dressing room and giving Commons a dressing down for being so stupid getting sent off he went onto the pitch to applaud their fans but to me he just does it to be 'visible'. Nothing condones someone trying to deck him, even though by my view he also got a couple of retaliatory kicks in on him too, but he does encourage the nutter elemnt by behaving like one himself.

Not sure why people are suprised about moves not yet being processed. What would be the point of trying to place everyone in L4, before finding out some existing ST holders there were not renewing. The next thing they'd be complaining about is not being sat togethet. Best to wait to maximise the available seats in groups.

Seems a joke that this table, which is nothing more than clubs being nice to each other, can gift a club a massive amount of money for the following season.

Usual time of the year when some random team gets excited about getting into Europe. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13055894.stm Seemingly Fulham are in line this year behind Chelsea, who should qualify already. A look at the Table puts us bottom. http://www.premierleague.com/page/FairPlayTable However you look at some of the columns like respect to refs it just doesn't make sence. Apparently we get less points than Man Utd in this one despite the fact you rarely see us surrounding a ref. Seems like this is another case of big teams getting favour from officials. One of our best scores if behavoiur of officials. Ashley must at least mind his p's and q's in the boardroom.

Reading just saved a penalty

Forest losing again 3-4 Reading

What chance playing another English / European touring team on the weekend? Chicago would be genius if i can sort my trip there.
-
Really trying to get over for this as part of Summer holiday trip to Chicago. Supposed to be 1st couple of weeks in August but trying to change. Looks like a decent drive to Kansas but if there is a meet going to be arranged then seems like its worth a stopover at the very least.

I applied through the UEFA website. Was surprised to get them actually as I usually get the knock back. It is just a lottery though. With it being in Dyblin I might just bother me arse to go as I have family in Dublin and Cork so might make a holiday of it. Well if you decide against it drop me a pm (or to geordie_b) or a text.

Yeah, and i didn't get them. Might take them off you if you're looking to get rid. I'll cover the cost including the ridiculous fee for postage etc. Might have to research the name on the ticket nonsense though.
