  1. I remember us getting thrashed down there 4-0 on New Years Day 1992, and listening to Charlie Harrison do the whole commentary over the phone as the radio link went down. I was there. Horrific. Lowest we ever got.
  2. Be expecting a reduction in sky sports fees if they are losing the rights... Or maybe not
  3. Err June... Are you forgetting something? EDIT: Whoops even 1969 isn't exempt from the video ban
  4. The FAQ on the fixtures glosses over totally the fact the there are never Big 4 (or 5/6) teams playing each other 1st weekend or last weekend. Surely law of averages suggests that this should be happening once around every 4 years. I can't remember the last time.
  5. Is anyone else reminded of this interview? Similarly mental.
  6. This. I've read his other Italian books on the back of this one too. Left Foot Forward - Garry Nelson (The original real footballers autobiography, really open eyes to the way it used to be) The Miracle Of Castel Di Sangro - Joe McGinniss Life Sentence - Mark Hodkinson (about Rochdale) Pointless - Jeff Connor (East Stirlingshire) Football against the enemy - Simon Kuper Behind the curtain - Jonathon Wilson Damned United - David Peace
  7. Some of the comments from the scousers are funny - http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/lfc-stars-model-new-away-kit Even they can't be arsed to defend it which is most unlike them
  8. Barring a freak 13 goal swing Stoke are safe now.
  9. Empty seats in the top corner corporates too
  10. http://metro.co.uk/2013/04/08/premier-league-clubs-not-to-be-asked-to-observe-minutes-silence-for-margaret-thatcher-3587860/ Shame. I'd have liked to have paid my respects of which i had none whatsoever.
  11. We're flying in from Edinburgh and aiming for 13:07 but might delay and get the later one giving us time for a cheeky beer in Faro town
  12. I've just asked the same question on TripAdvisor today to confirm you can just rock up and pay what the website it saying. Might be a massive queue of Mags at the station mind. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g189116-i1083-k6312695-Pre_Booking_trains-Faro_Faro_District_Algarve.html#48365253
  13. Except if we draw Fenerbahce it would be played behind closed doors. I thought that was only a one match ban for fans which would now have been served? Lazio was two? Might be wrong mind...even better if that's true. I still think that this read that they had a one match sanction (last night), unlike Lazio who had last night and another. http://www.uefa.com/uefa/footballfirst/matchorganisation/disciplinary/news/newsid=1925336.html
  14. Fenerbahce only got a 1 game ban if i understand correctly which is their home leg this week. They got a suspended sentence of being banned from Europe next season if it happens again.
  15. Send it to him via Twitter in return for all the autographs he signed today.
  16. I went to the Hearts v Saints game last night totally forgetting he'd be playing. Some decent touches and one nice run but not a lot of product to him. Played in an overrun 5-man midfield and was taken off on 40 mins with them 1 down. Didn't take too well to it either and stormed off down the tunnel. Probably not a reflection on his showing on the night he got subbed but while he looks to have futher bulked up still wasn't pulling up trees. By comparison Michael N'Goo for Hearts who is on loan from Liverpool, just think lighterweight Shola, dominated the front line and caused real problems.
  17. Make sure you get Shearer waving to the mancs for the 3rd
  18. Can we have one of Roy Keane getting sent off for flapping at Al. Complete with red card above his head obviously.
  19. Whoops... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20639664
  20. Seems plausible as they weren't given any 1st time around
  21. Carrying passports or approved ID is compulsary in much of Europe when ID cards are the norm. This isn't a special thing for us. Driving licence is normally fine.
  22. As I said earlier this is what they did when we played Waregem in Ghent. Few of my mates went over in hope of buying on the door and got turned away/threatened to be arrested if they didn't f*** off. And likewise in Lokeren you weren't allowed in the town centre there at all with or without a ticket. You had to go straight from station to the ground.
  23. I'd assume it would have the correct destination on the confirmation. Are they issuing a paper ticket or is it a print at home version? It may be that Eurostar only provide their bit of the ticket and the other bit is issued separately. Guess that only a phone call or email will put your mind at rest.
  24. My mates went for a stag there (I had to pull out as it was my 1st wedding anniversary) and they did Eurostar. The 'Any Belgium station' option is a little bit more but MUST be selected to get the onward travel. It is not provided as standard so if you don't have this as the destination station its only going to be valid to Brussels-Midi.
