Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)
Kasper replied to Figures 1-0 Football's topic in Football
I've found I'm alreet at hearing it if it has the subtitles at the bottom like. Learned from the streets. -
Sounds like we're waiting for the go ahead from Rafa but they don't rule out going over his head.
-
If he start getting enough space to cross the ball. And stops hitting the first man infront of him.

Doubt he's even gonna play a game for us. -

I think the title meant to say "Daniel Sturridge close to joining West Bromwich on loan...."

It's his Championship team. Still properly classing that as his team, now that we're in the Premier League is daft. Also getting sick of this "Rafa doesn't play good football" narrative. If we had the players he wanted for this season, we wouldn't have to be going on the defensive and trying nick games 1-0. That is true in the league but in this game, Rafa setting up to try to win 0-0 is daft imo. Give it a go and let the players play with a bit of freedom, i mean we lost 3-0 playing defensive anyhoo. In the league more often than not he's getting right, we'd be bottom if he hadn't. I dont understand that comment. We played a completely different way compared to the Man City games for example. We pressed them high first half and didnt sit deep. The thing is that we do a shit job taking care of the ball and lose it constantly in dangerous areas. And our defense is horrible when it gets even a little bit caught out on the break. Keep it compact and we can somewhat hide the fact our individuals are crap at their job. Put our defense running towards their own net with Chelsea or Man City forwards and we're fucked every time. I thought today was Rafa trying something different because it wasn't a league game. It went pretty much as feared.

Nicolai Jorgensen to stay at Feyenoord

It just means it's not very close at the moment, -
Does this count as "having a go"? High pressure on the ball, not sitting very deep, getting caught in posession and conceding etc. Rafa making a point to everyone moaning about our Man City matches. "OUR PLAYERS CANT PLAY THIS WAY!"
-
Absolutely nowt wrong with how we're set up, we just lack any quality whatsoever. Yes. And that's why we're set up in league games a lot more cautiously. No high press etc. Today is a perfect example of why. We lose the ball cheaply all the time, get caught out on the break and look completely clueless defensevely when we're not keeping a tight shape.

Trying to play the ball to a stationary Gayle in the box while he's surrounded by 3 players
-
Oh look! Another counter attack stopped by an easy pass behind the intended target. Every fucking time.
-
Just take Gayle off. He's not even trying anymore.
-
Yep and you just know he’ll have a hand in their first goal Thought he was being sarcastic but now I'm not sure
-
Gayle you mean. Gayle as a striker should be taking that on and smashing it There was nothing to take on. Ritchie made sure of that.
-
What should have Gayle done differently there The ball to him was utter shit.
-
Fucking hell. Ritchie cant pass the ball 5 metres. Good pass there and Gayle is through on goal, instead passes it behind him.
-
Erm. One was from behind one was side to side. Not exactly the same.
