  1. Yaya, man. Like a cheat code. The guy is a fucking footballing Juggernaut.
  2. Had a decent game so far I think. Consistent too.
  3. Absolutely great game. Best league in the world.
  4. Why didn't Aguero shoot? Oh well. Good refereeing.
  5. I've always wondered about stuff like this. Cattermoles, Huttons and De Jongs go in hard for fun - why is it never on someone who deserve a slap!
  6. Cheers. They're very good odds. Still gonna bitch out and just lump on City for £250 profit. Prob a small accy of Newcastle/Liverpool/Arsenal/EvertonXSwansea too.
  7. The Villa game was remarkably similar to yesterday's tbh. We had them camped in their area for nearly the entire game and couldn't really break them down. Was disappointed at the time not to have won given the respective performances of the two teams.
  8. Spurs have such annoying depth, the complete bastards
  9. Good one. They're as happy with a 1-0 victory as McLeish. Maybe 2, since it's Christmas and all.
  10. Play for the 0-1. No disgrace in a 0-1 defeat, many consider it a win. I'd rather lose 1-0, than win 4-3 personally.
  11. Impatience and ambition cost me 110 smackers, yesterday. Might wait until midweek before I try to recover it though.
  12. McLeish will defend in numbers. Liverpool will struggle to break them down. Aggy could get one on the break. A draw is definitely on the cards IMO.

    Alan Pardew

He used to love the triple substitution. And it worked once from my memory when Stephen Glass scored vs Man Utd in 2000. After a Lua-Lua miskick. I loved the triple substitution. If you're gonna shake things up, shake them up proper!
  14. Not just saying this, but I've always rated Carrick. Even when people were lambasting him for being shite, I dunno, there's something about him I really like. Didn't Alonso/Xavi say he had a Spanish-esque style about him? He has the technical ability IMO, just has lacked consistency. He's a very good technically and can make some fantastic passes. Funnily enough, he lacks the raw athleticism of other English midfielders
  15. Just read that article, Cabaye was smiling a lot yesterday. Seemed to really be enjoying himself, which is good to see
  16. Thought he had a fantastic game, personally. His ability to spread the ball wide so accurately from such distance on such a consistent basis is little short of breathtaking tbh. Feels like a long time ago that we had a central midfielder who could do that. His set pieces were of varying quality, but he did deliver some good balls. Credit to Swansea, they defended well and without STaylor our players looked as harmless as eunuchs in the box. After a while I think he tried to angle his deliveries flatter to cause more problems (because Swansea were comfortably mopping up lofted looping efforts) and ended up hitting the first man a few times. Still, glad he gets a rest in a way - he's played every minute and Carling Cup games for a while now. Not the worst match for him to miss, and Tiote is back at least.
  17. The skill is still there, just that little bit of acceleration seems to be missing so it doesn't come off as well. Bit weird though that off-colour Jonas still seems to mean an off-colour Newcastle attack. Thought we'd moved past that, but there's only so much Cabaye can create centrally against deep-sitting teams and Obertan at his best is (so far!) the same as an off-colour Jonas. Neither quite as terrible has been made out, but obviously neither good enough to really cut and carve up a team defending for a point.
  18. Yeah, I don't bet on Everton. I'm not saying you're shite or anything, but you get shite results.
