  1. Have more sympathy for the line-up in an away fixture than in the previous two games. Don't think it's correct mind you.
  2. Brought in Wazza, so I have RVP, Ba and Rooney up front now. This signals the end of all their goalscoring form
  3. could see Obertan getting lots of joy against your crap defence. problem is he doesn't need defenders stood in his way to mess up, he can do that perfectly fine on his own. It really is remarkable just how many times he'll do a step over, get a yard on a defender to fire in a ball.... and then choose to stop the ball for a bit. Ah well, here's hoping to some maturing from the blighter.
  4. Since pre-season he's looked a phenomenal threat going forward. Really hope he stays around the first-team tbh. Almost got two goals on his first Premiership start. Not bad by anyone's standards. Not the complete performance or anything, but could do well just ahead of a four-man midfield Increasingly high hopes for the guy.
  5. Man Utd Arsenal Spurs DNB I think. Accy: Liverpool Arsenal Chelsea 2-0 2-0 1-0 2-1 2-1 2-0 3-0 3-0 2-1 3-1 3-1 3-1 4-0 4-0 1-1
  6. So depressingly true. We are the nice guys of football, and we all know what happens to nice guys. I was thinking that when Jonas put the ball out after Reid went down injured. Imagine a ruthless t*** like Blackburn's Pedersen or Seb Larsson or some t*** like that Not that they get any real success, but you know what I mean. I went mad when Jonas did that. On reflection it didn't help his case that he didn't do his job for the umpteenth consecutive game. I was proud Jonas put it out.

  9. He won every ball in the air during the second half of the Championship season, I think people are forgetting just how good he is in the air. A few well-remembered mistakes are colouring views of him, I think (Wigan at home, Blackburn at home and Bolton away last season). Generally he's very good though.
  10. Got nothing to do with you being great on set pieces, or anything Davies-specific for that matter Our defending is just ridiculous at the moment.
  11. More justification for him not to start this game than other games gone by. They better have been training defensively to deal with Davies et al on set pieces, and from general play for that matter. That's what will determine the outcome IMO.
  12. Jones is fit for the next game apparently. At least I remember reading that somewhere, anyway.

  14. Right you are. I was asleep during his entire reign.
  15. Just saw our last win away at Bolton. 4-0 in 2001/02. Shearer, Bellamy, Robert, Solano. Two wingers and two strikers on the scoresheet Golden era.
  16. Got home too late to bet yesterday, but I had intended to whack a fair bit on Chelsea given Spurs' injuries. Dodged a bullet apparently. How did the game go?
