    Sunderland...

Their next fixture will put an end to any smugness, tbf.
  2. Costly day for Blackburn. Lots of injuries. 3 points to relegation rivals.
  3. I don't understand your post. I assume you're mocking someone? Eh? I put the mackems into my acca (after seeing your post earlier) and was neither happy/sad that they were losing, now I've got something to cheer me up after they've snuck the equaliser. Christ on a bike, since when did I 'mock' you? Didn't say you were mocking me - but you do have a tendency of selectively mocking posters or gloating about things people have said/done in the past after the fact. Also, using too many smilies. Crossed wires.
  4. I'm happy Blackburn lost. Sunderland are still shite. Oh, and my accumulator is still alive.
  5. I don't understand your post. I assume you're mocking someone?
  6. Point no good to either. Must feel like victory 'cuz they're so shite though
  7. He was watching Rocky Balboa last night, and thought he wants to have one last go at the big time... as a player manager. He wants to captain Sunderland against Barca in the CL final next season.
  8. Not watching - is it like the Everton vs Stoke match the other day?
  9. Ever or today? Today? No. Ever... no.
  10. Not going to happen IMO. He could lose his first ten and it won't be him. It'll be his inheritance. Or fan expectations. Or the board not giving him funds.
  11. Oh, I also want them dispirited, injured and "forfeiting" their cup tie against us.
  12. Not being a bona fide Geordie I'm less offended by Sunderland than others - my main feeling towards them is one of pity and mirth I don't like Blackburn though and I want Samba for Newcastle (preferably at a cut relegation-sale price). Hope Sunderland beat them today.

    Alan Pardew

Yep he's really bottled it, not playing HBA in one game of the last 5. Such a bottler! In fairness to Parky, many of those have been as a consequence of Obertan being injured rather than being dropped. I'm not sure I agree with Parky's statement, mind you. I think his main mistake has been not phasing in Santon ahead of Raylor much, much earlier. Could have averted the Chelsea injuries/result IMO.
  14. Just bought a house next to bobbydazzla's mate. No way he's moving
  15. Yeh, I think David28 might have to recuperate. If his posts on this thread are anything to go by. He's probably still a mere £3000 in profit for the month though. "Decent."
  16. AFAIK, we're the only ones to actually win in Stoke on a wet and cold Monday night. WET COLD MONDAY If your trip to the Britannia is short of any of those three factors, it's not a real away win in Stoke.
  17. Diame is good. Think this is all a little premature mind you.
  18. It just clicked in my head which goal his second yesterday reminded me of - Laurent Robert vs Arsenal, when he jinked (past Vieira I think) from his right foot on to his left foot and curled the ball round the dive of the keeper from a similar range with impetuous confidence. Ain't no thang.
  19. I know Ozil always comes off, but he didn't look especially leggy and Cronaldo was in one of his sulky moods, where he has to keep trying the same failing shit over and over again to prove something to himself (which, in this case was running the ball into crowds of players and remarkably being crowded out). Players being unsubbable is bad. Thought Callejon might have got some time too, but oh well. The luck I referred to was only in respect of the deflected goal, VI. Not your overall performance. The game could have swung either way is my point. Many that I know, sadly, think this was a routine victory. I don't think it was. Barca were more clinical and deserved their victory but it was a close fought game which I felt RM could have won before you really asserted yourself. I don't think Barca's lack of fluidity first half was accidental either, but a result of Real Madrid's Barca-esque pressing. Messi forced fantastic saves from Casillas, whereas Ronaldo just put his header and shot wide plain wide next to no pressure on him (other than the occasion) - which differentiates them to me. Messi couldn't have done much better from that angle or with his chances, Ronaldo... well, the less said the better. Good match, anyway. Especially for you.
  20. Did the bloke have a bet on Madrid? Hugely impressed by Barca. I think plenty of people thought Real had the edge last night and when Valdes fucked up for the first time of numerous times last night, he was punished immediately and many would have thought Real would go on to win comfortably. But I guess writing off this Barcelona side was somewhat ludicrous in hindsight. Oh, and Messi - who wasn't even at his best IMO - was still immeasurably better than Ronaldo. Again. And there are still people out there (not so much on here) who will claim he's not. Staggering. Also, take a bow Iniesta. One of his finest games ever last night. Barca recovered very well, but I thought Real Madrid "should" (ugly footballing word, I know) have won that game in the first half. If someone other than the awful Cronaldo had got the chances he had, they would've been out of sight by half time. He missed them, was greedy and scuppered good positions by not passing. Then Messi shows some brilliance and the Sanchez goal puts them back in. Even then though, I thought Benzema, Ozil, Coentrao and Diarra were the standout players on the pitch. Again, another wasted chance by Cronaldo, which he stole from the waiting Benzema and with a little luck Barca Xavi's deflected shot gives them the lead. From there, it's game over. Fantastic front-runners, and renewed confidence. Vintage Barcelona-beating-the-shit-out-of-RM. All of RM's intimidation factor is depleted, their heads drop, and their energy levels run low. Mourinho did well - but you can't legislate for Cronaldo having that much of a stinker. Why Ozil came off instead of Cronaldo, and why Higuain wasn't introduced earlier though, I don't know.
