Agreed. I bet he loves our club. If business slows down he just has to wait for the Engish football season to start and he knows a plane load of Newcastle players will be on their way.

Everton vs Newcastle - Post Match Thoughts.

I actually think the performance will improve against Man U. Teams rarely get thrashed twice in a row and that feels like a match where we lose 0-1 and try to avoid depression by saying it was a good performance with the injuries we had and we were unlucky not to snatch a point. -

Henrik Larsson versus the mighty Peter Ramage. Huntington v. Rooney. Can't wait. Can't say I'm too worried about Larsson. Is he not playing or something? -

When that happens, we'll only end up being reminded how annoying the Man U supporters themselves were when they were winning it. I couldn't care less. If anything, I hope Arsenal somehow make up the ground and take it.

Post match thoughts: TRANSFER WINDOW -
Chelsea 1 Fulham 1. Lampard.

I'm watching this one and they just said Volz against Chelsea was no. 15000.

I agree...but they weren't MotM material. Dyer was excellent before he tired and Milner was also playing well. Butt was reasonably good too.

Bolton vs Newcastle United - Post Match Thoughts

So Butt did betterr than Parker? Parker is one of the better players for goodness sake. Stop the irrational Parker bashing. Sorry, but Parker was really terrible today. I'm not overreacting, I don't want him dropped from the team, and I don't regard what happened today as a disaster by any means....but Parker was shocking. -
If Bramble and Carr did the job of Huntington and Edgar today then they would have been rightly slated. Edgar & Huntington obviously have more of an excuse (18 yr vs. Anelka) but they still weren't brilliant. Their distribution was poor - Huntington especially.

I really admire Allardyce's ability to get old, fat, useless players like Campo to finish in a good position, but I always come away from these games against Bolton thinking that I wouldn't want Big Sam anywhere near Newcastle if we end up like them. Hate them, I really do. -

Please don't allow the inexperience of the backfour to disguise the fact that Butt & Parker were clueless in the second half and unable to complete a pass to anyone in black and white. And can anyone explain why Milner was taken off? -

Parker is shit. -
Looks like he is about 56. Never in his 20s. Also a cheat.

I thought this thread would be about the number of 'EMRE IS SHITE PARKER IS CRAP DYER IS USELESS ROEDER IS INCOMPETENT THE WORLD IS ENDING' threads currently on the board after a 0-1 defeat to the most expensively assembled team ever who won a match in the least important competition we play in by cheating. My mistake. But it really does make you wonder how there are still people prepared to make racist slurs like that in public. I'd love to see someone make a comment like that at a sporting event near where I live and see what happens.

Crouch and Ameobi would be the worst strike partnership anywhere, ever.

I do subscribe to FSW (US football channel) and go to watch the matches at a local pub when they are on Setanta. But that isn't every match. As an overseas supporter, it would be brilliant if there was one definitive affordable high quality stream offered by the Premier League that could let me watch the matches on broadband. I would subscribe. But there isn't is there? And while they sit on their arses for a few years, deciding how best to exploit the situation for ridiculous amounts of money and minimum quality, we have free alternatives to watch online. They fell behind. The only reason there isn't presently an official stream for every match every weekend is they can't figure out how to get enough money out of it. So **** them and **** their copyright restrictions tbh. They have the technology and could quite easily set up a service but they haven't. It's one thing for the music industry to complain that people are downloading mp3s instead of buying albums legally or going off iTunes, but quite another for the Premier League to bitch about live streams when they don't offer the matches for broadband purchase themselves.

This isn't meant as a defence of Roeder, but no one asked this fucker his opinion and it would be better if he shut his gob. Oba's "career might suffer" or already has suffered from the incompetence of his own bloody FA who embarass him by registering as 5 years older than he is. After that debacle you would think they might tread carefully.

Probably the best summary of the giant mess I've read so far. Touches on most of the key points. -
Exactly. If we hold Arsenal to one goal, then we can talk about progress. At the moment, new defenders are still top priority.
-
Same here. There is nothing more infuriating than watching him lose posession trying to trap a ball. And it happens at least five times every time he plays.

About time. If the fitness coach is supposed to be in charge of ensuring and maintaining player fitness, then our injury record over the past three years should have gotten him sacked ages ago.
