  1. Think his attitude took a nosedive when he made the England senior team and hasn't recovered. Thinks he's better than he is, he's not the same hardworking player that ran himself into the ground anymore. Likes to stand about waving his hands after he's misplaced a pass like it's the recipients fault.
  2. Wishful thinking, I see Howe wheeling him out attached to a sackbarrow a la Hannibal Lecter well into his 40s.

I feel I have to steel myself before opening this thread, I avoid it generally. I feel for the lad, so talented but just being misused atm imo.
  4. I think Howe's finally out of his depth with some of the quality of players at his disposal, he doesn't know how to set up a team to do anything other than out run opponents. One thing that does surprise me is the tactical inflexibility though, at least show you're trying to get the best out of who you have rather than just scratch your head and look confused as to why the same tactics as the past 4 years seem less effective as time goes on. We only look good when teams over-commit. The last time we could break a low block was when Bruno would scoop a ball over to Almiron as part of a one-two in those golden 2 Almiron months 2 years ago. I am so grateful to Howe for everything he's done but I don't feel a sense of attachment to him, but to this club and I'm not sure he's going to take us any further forward. The more competitions we're in, the worse we tend to get overall, it's the same result each time. The most irksome thing is I think the two things he needs to fix most are the easiest ones, and he doesn't for whatever reason. Squad rotation, really any 2 bob analyst could tell him how to do it and tactics, again it's not rocket science. Developing players, handling the media and the club's hierarchy, THAT'S the hard part. Completely baffles me.
  5. "My adopted son Anthony Gordon played well but felt a bit of tightness in his hamstring so we took him off as a precaution." "Thought Joelinton worked well and gave us his presence in midfield" "Wolves are a very difficult side to play against and we could probably have done a bit better but I'm overall pleased with the performance" "Louis has some bits to work on in his game but thought he played well" "Anthony (Elanga) showed some good moments when he came on and just needs to keep working hard and we'll see the results" "Kieran had a good game and I thought he was back to his best, the challenge now is keeping him fit for the games we've got coming up"
  6. With Joelinton as the player taking the attacking link-up play position it's no wonder Wolte looks almost as isolated as Wissa
  7. Wolte nowhere near it agai--- oh wait it was Wissa, can't complain now
  8. I went through our downstairs cupboard yesterday and went through every single 're-usable' tesco bag, bag for life and sorted them into piles according to approximate sizes for the missus to choose which ones to keep so I can bin the rest. I wish it was yesterday again right now.
  9. Tripps bellowing across the pitch in his unnaturally deep voice for his height reminds me of
  10. Wolves to go 1-0 up then we'll bring on 4 - Elanga, Wissa, Miley & Ramsey for Barnes, Wolte, Tonali and Joe
  11. If Wolte was on the end of that with that end result there'd be murder in here
  12. Echo bubble, they need some new ideas/input. We've not evolved.
  13. So to all those who think that we don't struggle to play against a low-block and it's a complete myth, interested to hear your thoughts after this, as nearly all teams in the league have ran Wolves over except us.
  14. Pans to Lewis Miley warming up who mid-stretch winks at the camera, Guile's theme hits
  15. This tactical stubbornness is making Amorim look flexible
  16. Nothing new fella, been like this for... 3 years. It's the Trippier quarterback effect, stops when we have Murphy there who isn't afraid to play a first time cross.
