  1. Apart from this time it is a real sport.
  2. Gerrin Argentina! Vamos Jonas!
  3. He's the defensive midfielder for the team that has just won the Champions League, I don't think he's overrated at all. And even if he is, it's moot because he's still way better, and more effective than Veron. Re the CL, that's partly why he's overrated. Being part of a CL winning team doesn't mean you're a great footballer. Take Nicky Butt for example. Can't agree that it's a mute point, given that Mascherano is a far better defensive midfielder and Veron is easily better at distributing the ball and creating chances than Cambiasso. Maybe you could argue that he should at least be in the squad, but then it depends on how Maradona wants Argentina to play. Cambiasso in the past few years isn't the same one that was part of the Argentina 2006 team imo, he sits back too much nowadays and looks awkward whenever Inter are in possession. That's just based on what I've seen, which admittedly isn't a great deal outside of CL and a few big Serie A games, but I can see why Maradona doesn't fancy him at all. He was absolutely woeful for an Argentinian side who well off qualifying before Maradona took charge n all. Still should at least be in the squad like. I'd probably have him in the team ahead of Veron but I'd have Riquelme in there too.

And even if he is, it's moot because he's still way better, and more effective than Veron. But Veron doesn't play defensive midfielder for Argentina. Macherano does, so it'd be his spot that Cambiasso would take surely? Obviously it's ridiculous he's not in the squad, mind. To me it looks like Mascherano and Veron are both DMs, with Veron sometimes getting forward, but I don't see what he does other than look past it. Maradona loves him though cos he bosses it in Argentina and Maradona loves Argentina.
  5. Shame he fucked off to Japan to end his career. Disappointed I never had the chance to watch him live.
  6. Nigeria could really do with marking Messi from time to time.
  7. Or who runs over a journalist and then shouts at the journalist for standing where he might get run over.
  8. No. Maradona left in 84. Lineker joined in 86.
  9. Correct. The Adidas Tango was a class ball n all http://soccerfans.com/images/_full/ADI_80063_E.jpeg
  10. Crooks changing his accent to talk to the locals.
  11. Good to see Klinsmann has got his pyjamas on under his shirt.
  12. You can change your captain between 00:00 and 15 minutes before kick off of the first game tomorrow. The captain indicator for the players that have played is now blanked out, so I would guess that as soon as your captain has played that is it for the round (which probably makes sense). Nah it ain't. I had Ribery cappa but now I've got someone else, Messi i think, and if he doesn't do much I'll get Kaka or Villa in. As KI says its fucking hassle like. Should just have had it like they did the Prem one and the last Euros one.
  13. He is a good keeper in general though, to be fair. I automatically assume African keeper, so anything more than shenanigans impresses me. If he is genuinely good it'd be interesting to see if he could cut it in a better league. EDIT: Good old Gabby Heinze, such an Argentine. Yeah, I get that stereotype. I do it as well. But everytime I've seen this keeper, albeit not really that many, he's been quite solid. I can't remember who it was but some keeper in the ACN who tried that somersault pick up thing and almost ballsed it up. That is what i expect. Boubacar Barry for Ooh Aah Cote D'Ivoire is usually worth a fumble or two n all.

  15. If you stuck most LW at RB they'd struggle tbh. Glenn Johnson is bad enough there and thats his specialist position.
  16. Nigerian keeper is a having a worldclass game here, two absolutely brilliant saves so far.
  17. I'm going to smash up Starbucks if we don't win. Show em who is boss.
  18. USA Fans getting ready for tomorrow... http://theblacksentinel.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/moron.jpg
  19. I hope we take it easy on America and don't go Vietnam on them.
  20. Hopefully that bus gets busjacked too and someone does in them 2 cunts on it.
  21. This, wouldn't have qualified anyways necessarily. Commentators keep banging on about n all. Wouldn't be so bad but Ireland aren't even a home nation technically.
  22. No direction. Their line up & squad selection didn't help like. Bloody stars not aligning with planets. Gignac on the RW, Ribery up top, makes Souness seem like a tactical wizard.
  23. Shame like from Lodeiro. Was looking forward to seeing him play a bit. Never a pelanty that btw.
