Annoyingly as they are getting Alvarez, McTominay will be free to go box to box.
Don't like Moyes getting Maguire and McTominay along with Alvarez.
Was hoping he'd get stuck with more Scammacca types that he had no clue about.
Yeah, could see him using McTominay in the same way he did Fellaini back at Everton

I cannot see anything wrong with what Varane has said tbh. The new rules look dreadful.
Ten Hag and his team should be delighted now the ball will be in play for longer, surely?

Has Barnes done anything if you take away his goal?

No. Rheece James is just better. That’s why they let him go.
Massive fan of Tino. Massive ceiling. But James is him.
Not wanting to be pedantic, but wasnt part of it that he wanted to go to get first team football rather than being endlessly loaned out?

Why are you being needlessly pedantic?
Im sure you understand the point that I’m making.
My point is that top 6 teams often invlude players who may not stand out in a mid/lower table team but they can be a valuable cog in a good team. So many from Ferguson's Man Utd team for instance looked utter shite when they moved elsewhere.

Danny Simpson did it twice. Still never a top 6 player.
By your reckoning he wasnt, but he literally proved he was, no?

Yeah, the Ashby thing is strange, but maybe he just wasn't as far along (or as good) as they thought when he arrived. Kraft did do well, but there was still a bit of nervous apprehension when he played, and kind of more a relief that he wasn't actually bad, rather than someone who you would want to start a significant number of games, now as an established top half club pushing on, plus while they are in a similar boat in terms of injury, you might be more concerned about how a 28 year old kind of journeyman comes back than a young prospect, although definite risks to both.
I think a bit of that, a bit of him being cheap and solid cover for Trippier in the short term, and a bit of us progressing faster than we thought we would. Right back is probably the most important position in the tactics we use so we need exceptional cover now that we are playing more games this season

Surely this means Livramento/Frimpong are close to signing?

Can we please stop posting this guys fucking shit, or at least post it in the Twatter thread?

Maybe they have decided they have to get rid if Colwill?

Gutted when I understood he’d be moved on. Even more gutted after that tweet (and that joke of a transfer sum). ASM is the kind of player that made me fall in love with football and it feels awful that he won’t be here for the good times. He seemed a genuine bloke who understood us as a club and supporters. A gem. Fucking FFP.
I agree with all of this, but chances are without FFP he would have been out of the door even sooner

Do we know any details about his contract situation?

Barnes looks perfect for this team

They don’t need to partake in a UEFA competition. They can create their own and invite the elite European clubs - who have already proven - are willing to branch off and play in their own competition for silly money.
Saudi and Florentino Perez (or whoever) will decide the financial spending rules, not UEFA.
The obstacle is UEFA. UEFA don’t add much value. If KSA can get players, European clubs, FIFA and enough I’d the media onside it’s checkmate for UEFA.
Saudi league just needs validation in Asia and Africa. It’s the international club competition that will take over the world.
That might take 5-10+ years.
Thankfully almost guaranteed that we will get an invite to any Saudi competition - I suggest we are the sole founder member and the 'big six' have to qualify every year

As a total luddite I'd be interested to know how this works as there is a documentary on rivers I want to watch. If someone could PM we with some details it would be much appreciated.

Poor Liverpool - maybe they shouldn't complain about us in future

Whats next though? Will they decide if a player is worth the wages they are on? Im assuming most would say Harry Maguire isnt worth 200k+ a week, but Man utd were prepared to pay it

No worries, we can just sign Frimpong

Is that the same Frimpong who used to be at Arsenal?
Check him out yourself!

Genuinely.more excited by this than Barnes or Tonali. If he can fulfil his potential i think this.coulould be an amazing signing. Interesting to see where Howe wants him to play
