I'm sure there were Hammers fans saying the same about Tevez and Macherano, "not enough end product and can't defend, marra."
-
I quite like the differing voices.

isn't this the crux? the fact that he probably should be but is being 'prevented' from doing so by our shit manager, his terrible tactics and being left out of the team for gabriel obertan? that's my view on the HBA thing, players don't perform in isolation to what's going on around them, especially not flair players like HBA So, this mercurial talent, with a vast history of inconsistency, only ever plays badly because of his manager. How does he ever play well? well i've already addressed this haven't i? but you know that...his age, apparent focus, team ethic and of course the fact that there's a world cup coming suggest to me the lad had what it takes to succeed now where in his younger years he was maybe more of a little arsehole holding himself back i'll refer you to the hull game again....he's crowded out by 2-3 everytime he gets the ball, that's where your manager has to come in and make changes to either open up the space for him or use his being crowded out to open up the game for the team our manager did neither and rarely does He was shite against Hull, but he wasn't the only one. He'd been unplayable in the games before it, under a similar amount of pressure from the opposition. People haven't suddenly realised that he's quite good this season. Players can have bad games, and experience poor form. As long as he comes back from that (in a period where we went on to record fantastic results), what's the problem? liverpool he was deployed as some sort of fucking striker playing with his back to goal man that's not a loss in form nor is having to face up to an entire hull defence and not being able to beat them prior hull he'd ripped villa to shreds and was under nowhere near the same pressure he was vs hull and liverpool you seem to take his performances in total isolation from the team and the tactical approach that the manager employs for some reason, that doesn't make sense cue "i didn't say that, would never say that" type bollocks...you're saying it by implication in failing to link his "drop" in performance (right at the time he was in amazing form mind ) with anything that the other team or his own manager might do The people arguing he deserved to be benched after a few "poor" performances where he was used like a fucking towel used by an intergalactic hitchhiker (in every capacity imaginable) have very short memories where we've seen player after player retain his place playing absolute horse-shit under Pardew. Why is HBA held to a harsher scale in comparison to some of his craphead teammates?
-
Amazing how people can swear five sheets to the wind and call Pardew names but I get called out for calling him an unintelligent and talentless manager Anyways, we've done this debate to death. We have some very fickle, reactionary fans who think 2 wins doth a summer make, as Cantona would say, whereas those of us who can see through these retarded tactics and team selection can see a run of defeats in the not-too-distant future, in line with the very evident past that shows the same pattern. I hope, like everyone here, that my view is wrong, and we now kick on and finish 5th, and Pardew suddenly makes a mockery of us all when Shola start 'ripping up the league' and Obertan starts becoming Leo fucking Messi, but so far all I see is two positions wasted with those two on, while our most talented player rots on the bench.
-
HE WON THE FOOTBALL GAM THOE DID YOU NOT SEE!? 5TH, FIFTH BTW!!! This patter is beyond horrific, fwiw. Rekt. Two wins and suddenly we can't say what we've been saying for the past 2 years N-O now overrun by club actors a la the Morality Police in Iran? Get the fuck out.
-
HE WON THE FOOTBALL GAM THOE DID YOU NOT SEE!? 5TH, FIFTH BTW!!! This patter is beyond horrific, fwiw. I think descriptors like 'beyond horrific,' inspired no doubt by Tina-Turner starred sequels to terrible dystopian action movies set in Australia are far worse.

The irony in all this is that HBA has been relegated to his role at previous clubs, on the bench when things are going well, but hoyed on desperately to save the fucking team when we're under the cosh. Can see him being used as a wildcard when we're chasing the game at 1-0 down. Complete lack of intelligence and talent from the manager.

"It kind of elevates him and he stands out, but I thought Shola Ameobi was terrific in the 60 minutes he played. He was as important as Loic, I thought." - .com quotes.
-
Quotes after the Spuds game from Alain, "Shola was t'riffic. As good as Remy."
-
Precisely. It's easier to teach HBA to defend and be on the backfoot once in a while instead of teaching Shola how to play football or Cisse the off-side rule. When Cabaye played that beautiful fucking curves pass across the pitch to Cisse I was fuming. Even if the linesman had it wrong, even they have come to expect it from him. Fuck's sake.
-
The short-sighted, kneejerk arguments come out. "We won two games in a row, who cares, let's ignore all the things Pardew has done wrong until now. Next time we lose a couple in a row, I'll jump the fence again and pretend I never said the aforementioned things." And then, of course, the smug wankers (like me) who have been saying they want to see the game being played and the squad being employed in an optimum manner come along and say "I told you so." This whole cycle is fucking tiresome. Let people make suggestions in spite of recent results which, according to them, will benefit the team. This whole "we won / lost, who cares" mentality is too reactionary. Cisse and Shola offered us fuck all, HBA would've been better. How is that "but but, he's my fave player" B.S.? Have a fucking word.
-
So... is he done here, then? I don't know what it'll take for him to be picked. Or even coming on in place of Obertan. We really should at least be hoying him on in the last 15-20 mins. As if Cisse can defend or hold up the ball to save his life.
-
Where does it say we cannot suggest improvements to a side after they've won a game or two? In fact, it's exactly this bullshit sing-while-you're-winning aura that protected Pardew's weaknesses as a manager from coming to light in the season we finished 5th. We almost fucking got relegated the next season. Maybe some of those dissenting voices should've been given more credence.
-
If the fact that we're leaving our best player in the cold doesn't bother people in the slightest, then it totally makes sense they're happy with Pardew and the current regime, even willing to tolerate them or 'give them time.' What is it about people getting the leaders they deserve?
-
What a crock of despicable shit.
-
First of all, I have no idea what 'out ball' is. Secondly, no matter kind of ball it is one is supposed to be chasing, or something, HBA can do it better ten times over than Ober-me-nan can. He was a farce against Chelsea when he came on and looked like he hadn't played even 5-a-side football for more than 5 years. How the hell do you trip over the ball or leave it behind you so many times in less than 10 mins?
-
Dooropener slips out the door.
-
Why does HBA have to prove himself over and over again whereas other crapheads waltz into the team at the drop of a hat? Why is he held to an insane standard whereas others around him are not? All questions which will not be answered of course. That Tevez and Mascherano duo was also not used to English football, like.
-
To be fair, it's easy for Mourinho to be magnanimous in defeat and all that stuff, he's an established success who is bigger than the club he works for and any of his players. I agree his attitude is good, but he spouts a fair bit of nonsense as well. I was looking more at the philosophy of when they're winning. He stressed that he reminds his players each time they win WHY they won. Pardew will change the fucking formation as soon as we went a goal down next game, regardless of the previous game's result. We've seen this. Spineless.
-
I wasn't laughing. The gf, who hadn't watched the toon play for a while, chimed in, "yeah, Obertan, wasn't he shit?"
-
Obertan. Over HBA. Nothing can excuse that, especially after everything HBA has done this season alone.
-
Thank you. And putting on Obertan instead of HBA? This guy is regressing in front of our eyes as a manager, or, sorry, showing his true fucking colours of ineptitude.
-
The contrast between the two managers is highlighted exceptionally well in that piece. Theirs believes in facing truths and reality when they lose and win, regardless of the result, ours believes in fairies and magic. Unbelievable.
-
The balls this cunt has. "For Mike Ashley..." Unbelievable. "This is for me boss, like, it's his birthday..."
