Watched the Everton / Arsenal game and my word, looks like we missed the boat on Martinez. He's got them playing and feeling like they can take on anybody, anywhere, and the quick one-touch passing makes Everton a completely different proposition from however the hell they've been existing the past two decades of my football-watching capacity.

For England.

SD shakers. Jesus it's everywhere. WTF is that on Gouf's chest? A hand pulling an eagle with a diamond hovering above? WTF?

Great question. Sums up the unrealistic Geordie expectations of success nicely that one.

Needs to retire.

That's right. If there's one characteristic HBA has shown in his time here it's that he doesn't care.

Absolutely bang on. Something I always ask: when was the last time we truly went for the jugular against a team under Pardew? Indeed. Still some people on here goes on like everything is perfect As soon as anything other than Pardews "plan" happening we are f***ed. Just nothing we can do or change to come back. and some will go on like we are bottom of league 2 having been beaten 10-0 of St Bessies blind girl school. Did you miss last season when we almost got relegated and stayed up by the grease on our balls? Nothing has changed, same shit tactics, same shit subs.

Going by the optimists on this board, do we now need to lose 3 more before we start pointing out the things that are seriously wrong with this team?

Almost messed up in Spain, marra.

Can we ever hope to pass like Swansea?

Two players losing the ball to Dyer.

Are you fucking kidding me, Colo?

How Anita isn't playing is astonishing. He would start every game for any of the teams below the top 4. Same with HBA.
-
1 more loss and we'll return to HBA saving the day for us. Sigh. This manager has no long term plan or tactics.
-
I know. No. Fixed for more dramatic impact.

I really don't understand when people say things like that. I hope he's the first name on your 'transfer out' sheet then. Ridiculous comment. Failure to get the best out of and include your most talented player in your winning 11 no matter what the results is not something to trump around like a fucking achievement. We will see all flair go out of this club with this mentality. Please wait for the inevitable time when Pards' new found system takes a beating and he resorts to hoying him on to save the fucking day.

I really doubt JFK had a masterplan and grand foresight to see Willo finding a bit of his old form back. I actually doubt he even remembered we have Willo. He just fucked up that deal who fuck knows what reason.

I think the team overall seemed a little too laidback today. Even the commentators mentioned the lack of intensity and urgency that was present in our last 2 home games. Oh well, maybe simply the thought of participating in next year's Europa League tired them out? Cheeky anti-Pards comments aside, if our players looked laidback, the WBA players, barring the opening 10 mins of the second half, looked like they were lying in tanning beds, fulfilling the middle letter of GTL to the fullest.

I actually agree with everything you said there. I personally am still not happy and can see us in trouble once this new-found system fails to produce results once or twice, and then we'll see the return of the slipshod tinkerman, no doubt. But that's literally me looking at the worst-case scenario and gearing myself up for it, in case it happens. Right now I'm fucking happy as a girl with her first Wham! LP that has a young George Michael on the cover in spandex. This is life.
