  1. So you want someone younger and more mobile as our 3rd choice keeper, someone who will never get a game ahead of Darlow or Selz / Krul next season. Why are you so passionate about our third choice goalkeeper? That's just fucking weird. And no disrespect or owt, but he doesn't need to lose any weight. He's a goalkeeper, not a long distance runner. You're taking a 3 year old joke and reapplying it without knowing shite. Without knowing shite Eat shit. Edit: I'm commenting on our 3rd choice keeper in a thread about our 3rd choice keeper. That's the extent of how much I care. Quite frankly, I'm only opposed to the rampant revisionism on here about people like him. Do I lose sleep over our 3rd choice keeper? Of course not.
  2. He did a decent job when called upon, but was still slow, and people often doled out the 'good shot stopper' compliment which, in football, is only reserved for shite reserve keepers. I'd like him gone for someone younger and more mobile, but if people are simply asking he stays as 3rd choice, I'm not even that arsed. He definitely should lose some weight, though.
  3. I love how after all these years suddenly Rob Elliot has found all these defenders on N-O. In another thread we're being told De Jong is the longawaited answer to our #10 woes. These events continue to prove that the longer an NUFC player spends away from the first team, the better he apparently becomes in the eyes of some fans.
  4. Did you read the actual shit he's supposedly said at the time? Alright, even if he didn't say any of it and it's all a stitch-up, for me he's the Ryan Taylor of keepers. There's no need for him, and he only got starts due to injuries and being best mates with Pardew. We can and should do better even for tertiary keepers.
  5. He can fuck off, when Pardew was here he was saying a club like us don't deserve to be anything more than in a relegation scrap. Now he's saying we deserve, all because Rafa is here and he knows if he comes out with that shit again then he'll be flogged. He was a bit of the poison that made our club ill, the day he finally leaves will be a good day for us. I argue with this point all the time but he didn't say that.. some guy on this forum/ in the mag can't remember talked to him in a pub, both were probably pissed, guy was probably doing Rob Elliot's head in, guy then after writes an article about things Elliot said allegedly Nah. I choose to believe every word. This fat cunt needs to leave. Can't have any Pardew arselickers around, even though Colback is still around.
  6. This is suddenly way too much information.
  7. Never get the number of men who claim to be 6 foot when they're clearly 5'10" or smaller at best. So weird. Yup, and they get super defensive and angry when you tell them they're not 6'. Hilarious to watch.
  8. So that's what it's about? Nativism? Purity tests for all fans to see the strength of their links to the club before they open their mouths? I have news for you, you'll find people with terrible opinions everywhere, including from those born in Newcastle.
  9. Definitely overcompensating for something for years now. So if it's not height, must be something else.
  10. He's right that Benitez won't consider an alternative to Colback, and he's right that Colback makes it harder to play better passing football. Sheesh. Thanks man. It was really that simple. Nothing is ever as simple as you appear, like. This whole thing is strange to me, but I hope you at least enjoyed using it to continue to build this persona of yours, and you feel better about yourself.
  11. At the title change. Also, can we start guessing who the major bantz is in the Whatsapp group? And who has "left the group" since the summer? As everyone knows, those "Sissoko has left the group" updates can be rather jarring, emotionally.
  12. And people are saying some dude who's been either in a hospital gown or immobile, slow and inaffective when on the pitch, albeit with a few "nice touches" and "movement" is better than the two who've actually delivered more in terms of goals and assists. I'm no fan of either Perez or Diame in the #10 role, but from the little I've seen of De Jong, I sincerely doubt he is the answer. I have no issues with him coming back and proving everyone wrong and making the spot his own. But Rafa should sign an actual #10 sharpish and let all these people fight for the spot or play elsewhere in the team (like Diame in CM, Perez LW or LS, etc).
  13. Goodness me, I had no idea De Jong has such an underground appreciation society. Let it all out now, fellas, international break and all.
  14. You could have just said fuck off. No need for personal insults. I categorize myself as at times falling into that fallacy as I, too, have my own favourites. Like Aarons, I expect him to come back and tear shit up
  15. Not even Ken Hamm and the entire creationist brigade does the God-Of-The-Gaps fallacy as well as N-O. Any vacuum in our knowledge of a player is immediately filled with all sorts of amazing things this player's done in our imagination.
  16. FFS. He's shown fuck all, absolutely fuck all, when he HAS managed to get on the pitch. A few nice touches here and there doth not a number 10 make, to paraphrase a mad Frenchman.
  17. Based on the plethora more goals and assists De Jong has over both Perez and Diame, aye. That and common sense.
  18. Based on the plethora more goals and assists De Jong has over both Perez and Diame, aye.
  19. Enters thread. Sees people are earnestly talking about De fucking Jong as being better than Perez and Diame, and our ideal #10. Leaves thread, but wishes to leave internet, and this world forever. Goodbye.
  20. He wasn't better in the Premier, he was exactly the same. His main asset is he puts himself about, but in English football that alone isn't going to get you very far because the defenders can generally cope with it, whether it's in the Premier or the Championship. There is absolutely no way you could have watched Mitrovic live last season and this and say he wasn't much better last year. He had some very good games for us last season. What has he done this year? A good half v Villa and a couple of games v Preston? I get a lot of it will be confidence but last season he was a threat in the air and his link up play was decent in between the poor games. I haven't seen any of that in any of the games I've been to this year. I was a fan of his - I'm not so sure now - I think think keeping him another year makes sense if it's the wish of all parties. If you're willing to credit him for shit like that last season, then you should also be willing to admit his misses cost us a spot in the Premier League.
  21. It's a good life being island-head.
  22. Ian Holloway ffs. Delete your accounts.
  23. Deleting your N-O account was acceptable hyperbole. But calling your ISP and going off the grid was Kim Jong Un-esque

    Rolando Aarons

Excuse me? Are you saying if you were out partying at a club with your auntie, and some ruffian hit on her, you'd just stand there and watch some Oedipal fantasy play out? Is that what you're saying?
