Some woman's getting slapped tonight, stay away from Moyesey, ladies.
  2. He'll be easy to turn, man. In times of war, he can be a national asset against the fight over a rock.
  3. love rafa, but think KK may have gotten a little more out of this team in terms of entertainment (possibly at the expense of a few points). This defence under KK would mean a 4-3 / 3-4 every week

Eh? Anyways, storm in a teacup or not, who goes around playfully telling people they'll get a slap in a professional setting? Are we in the 1950s? Regardless if it's said to a woman or a man.
  5. He'll be back to his most productive with Hayden behind him.

Honestly you should actually rad up on their history, it's f***ing nowhere near their golden years tbf. And you want to read up on ours if you think that's our golden years.... cp40 was obviously comparing recent history. Not like Nessy to be chatting s***. You are obsessed with my posts. But carry on. I'm beginning to get obsessed with your posts as well. The contradiction in "I never liked Rafa!" and "KK, SBR years don't count as success as only trophies should!" needs some serious mental gymnastics. Well i just look at things differently. I personally don't like many managers. Wenger is the one that really irks me and don't get love in for him. For me if you should judge success on trophies like across all sports. I'm a firm believer that support doesn't make a big club at all. It's an excuse for when well supported clubs are doing crap/shit to brag about imo. Eventually big support should lead you to success though. Expecting a lynching from this post.... There are many ways to judge success, not just trophies. A club with a sustained top-flight presence, which goes on cup runs once in a while, threatens or partakes in the European places once in a while, with a large, loyal, engaged supporter base (and one that's always growing) is, for me, a far more successful club than, say, someone doing a Leicester and fucking off down the divisions. Or Wigan.

  8. I'm complaining about how people think Rafa is some king which you described him as earlier. He's doing about as good of a job I'd expect others with similar resources available to him to do. Btw, I've never liked the bloke so I'll always will be in the negative camp with him. I won't change that opinion but having an opposite opinion on here is never totally respected as has been seen many a time. "Never liked him."
  9. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/remarkable-confession-mo-diame-form-12825443 Yeah, fuck you too. Saying nice things about a former club is a crime now? I'm not his fan, and think he needs to be dropped, but I can't see anything wrong he's said there.
  10. Cult-like mentality People are delusional about how much of a mess this club was on and off the pitch. Rafa had a mountain to climb to turn this thing around, and within 10 games he'd already shown what he could do. He understood the task at hand, and the Jan window was simply another opportunity for the club hierarchy to thank him and support his vision for the club, and believe that he knows best about what's needed to ensure we keep steering away from the dark days created by the likes of McClaren, Carver, Pardew, Charnley, Ashley, etc.
  11. Now we have Pardew apologists in here, dearie me. I'm more surprised his mate didn't take a dump on Pardew's table while having the photo taken.
  12. Quoting Pacino and De Niro and reviving Mann. Fucking hell, this guy. His vanity, lack of self-awareness or humility is limitless.
  13. I see both sides of this argument, but do you really think the game nowadays is anywhere near "au naturale"? Something needs to be done to make the game more honest, perhaps this is the way... In terms of what happens on the pitch, bar goal-line technology & the odd use of extra officials, the game is still the same at every level. Re making the game more honest, I'm all for the retrospective execution of diving cheats etc I agree on the importance of this bit, and it's something I've almost never seen mentioned. That's actually a fair point, even though I'm pro-video technology. Although, on the other hand, many a street footie fight would be resolved (or end up escalated ) with the aid of video replays.
  14. Like with tennis, cricket, etc., it took years before they fine-tuned the process of video-replays, and finally now it's pretty quick and seamless. Ian's suggestions are great, and these are the convos we should be having to explore how we can make this tech a part of the game in the long term. Another solution is keeping it like cricket: only one or two decisions can be referred, so you only get maximum of 0 to 2 replays, rest is business as usual. This way it's only used for the most contentious of calls, instead of pulling up video each time Hazard dives.
  15. Officially the worst media partner in history.
  16. For me bad decisions are part of the game. A discussion point. No need to be pissing about with multiple delays a game, particularly when decisions aren't often clear cut. Game going to the dogs. Money talks. These arguments against video tech have been debunked for decades, have been demonstrably disproven time and again by virtually every other sport that has used video tech for years, yet these same old argument get doled out, getting in the way of bringing football, the biggest sport in the world, into the current century. For fun, sit there with a stopwatch next time you're watching a Premier League game, any game, and stop-start each time there is a stoppage in play, and see how long those stoppages are. A fine-tuned video-replay decision is going to be a fraction of these delays that already exist in footie, and will actually make the game better, fairer, and not screw up a team's fortunes due to horrendous decision-making and, in some cases, actual matchfixing / cheating in other shitty leagues.
  17. Criticizing Jelliot is now considered having an axe to grind Can we get back to football please, this Int'l break has driven many posters bonkers.
  18. Both wanted to leave. I blame the Abeid debacle on Carver. He hung the kid out to dry publicly, IIRC, and then dropped him. The managerial genius that was JC.
  19. Rob Elliot = good shot stopper Jak Alnwick = bad shot stopper When a ball frequently goes through your hands and into the net, that's when you're not a good shot stopper. Fair do's, I forgot about Alnwick. Thanks for ruining my day.
  20. I would also like to take a brief moment out to deliberate on the term 'good shot stopper.' Is it fair to say there's not a keeper who exists who ISN'T described as a good shot-stopper (well, maybe Joe Hart of late)? It's basically a backhanded compliment in football, doled out to keepers who can't catch a cross, have no command of their box, can't kick, lack an overall footballing brain, and basically fling themselves about at a football like dogs at frisbees.
  21. Unfortunately I'm from the Steven Taylor school of banter, my laminated, faked high school diploma in bantz is all I deserve.
  22. This is so bad a post, I can't even begin...
  23. Yes, please include me in your little beauty pageant where you all strut around giving each other backpats and dutch rudders. My life is complete
