Rozehnal: Wasn't bad, wasn't great, 2/3 centre backs at the club who were better/more suited to the English game. Was poor on a few occasions. Lazio really aren't all that, and why are you upset anyway if, as would have been likely, he would't have played for us? Perhaps could have improved, don't know - ruined his chances when he had a hissy fit about not playing in his position.
Love Emre, transfer hasn't gone through yet, hope it collapses. But as good as he undoubtedly is, he doesn't show it for us enough even when he does play, and o average he's missed at least half the season each time. Would like to keep him in the hope he gets fit and just because he's clearly better than all our other central midfielders, but if we're going to get someone as good/better who actually plays, you can't complain.
People moaning about lack of activity - clearing out players is the first part of the activity. Our wage bill is ridiculous and we need to clear it up a bit before we can go in for others. Simple. If we weren't signing anyone I doubt we'd get rid of anyone.

David Rosenthal proved yet again this evening that he is a very good football player. not suprising then that he's just signed for a club, that has a warmer enviroment than our own beloved football club. How many more players(Emre) are going to leave or never sign.

spurs are really moving away from us now imo - modric is class, dos santos certainly has potential even if he will struggle in england
but on top of the players they already have i think they are starting to look quite good... unfortunately

According to the Mirror today Barton has flatly refused to accept the pay cut and believes that Newcastle have no grounds to sack him because it is likely that he will be out of jail and available for pre-season.
Not sure how true the story is and whether Barton really has got a leg to stand on if the club decide that they want to terminate his contract.
What a prick!

now, it´s official, that Arda Turan will not play in the Starting Lineup 4 Turkey at the EURO 2008.
Tuncay will play instead of him!
I'm a little concerned then by the boys quality, to be frank if Tuncay and Emre are considered better than him then I hope we are not looking at him.
I know absolutely bugger all about him, not exactly a huge follower of the fantastic turkish league and youtube is such a liar.
It is a selection question, that probably any other manager wouldn't answer the same way. They are playing different (in comparison to Arda) and the Turks will play against the biggest favourite of the Group first. They want to take the safer option, i think. Bet, he will play against Switzerland.

People seem to think it's funny, and I'd tend to agree with that tbh. But I can't see where anyone has used it as any sort of indicator as to how he's done as a chairman, unless you count Jonny Hall's original post that first brought the incident to people's attention, which was clearly in jest.
Why can't you seperate the man from the job he's done NE5? Because I really don't see the need for going off on a wobbler here at all.
I don't see your point. I think people can't or won't seperate the man from the job he did in Shepherd and Halls case. I've said it often enough, I judge a chairman primarily by how they back their managers, and in this instance Mort has came acros to me as being completely out of touch and knowing nothing about football.
Why do people think he's been such a good chairman, he's done nothing except ironically make some stupid statements to the press. He's also had 2 managers complaing about the clubs ineffiency to complete transfer deals. To me, this is as worrying as it gets

Can't see anything happening now that we're this close to Euro 2008 anyway. Even if the rumour of a bid is correct, they'll never accept it when they can just wait a few weeks and put the price up. If we genuinely wanted him we should have done it before this tournament.
