What annoys me about Cristiano is the way he goes on when he gets tackled, that look of "how dare they do this to me" as he just stands there waving his arms about or holding his hips.

I also hate his gestures...but that doesn't change the fact, that he's probably the best (most influental) footballer around the globe atm.

For everyone who thinks Ronaldo is the best player in the world, Messi was head and shoulders above him he did not deserve to be on the losing team.

Yes, they do... I mean N-Kufo (swiss national player) is one of the best scorers there, but he's totally unable to bang them in on an international level...

Question is whether Martin's will get any better. For the team to improve next season, Martin's has to play more consistently at a higher level. Pace isn't enough without the ability to finish for a forward and I don't see his overall game improving. We'll get a handful of spectacular goals from him but that isn't enough to lift us into a top six position.

 

It'll be interesting to see if KK opts for somebody else up front with a better overall game.

Surely they will be going to addicts who have tested clean for a period of time. There will be season ticket holders who take drugs all the time, do you object to them being allowed into St James Park? If these people have worked hard to stay clean why not reward them for it? What excites me is that we will go away from home to score goals and to win games and while this may lead to a few losses, we'll also win a few. I'd rather have 4 defeats and 4 wins on the road with zero draws than 4 defeats and 4 draws with zero wins. And that's how we'll approach playing away from home. At home, we'll look to win them all, against the good the bad and the ugly. I can see SJP becoming a fortress again, especially if KK can get the kind of players he wants to set the place alight.

 

I think most people would rather have 12 points than 4 tbh.

Yes we can talk about Deco, Moutinho, Navas etc etc ...but I really wish we would take some lessons from Mr Wenger's book and sign some player without an excessive reputation at a decent price who turns out to be ace e.g. toure, viera, ljunberg, clichy. Even Pires, Henry, Van Persie didn't have reputautions that would set the Premier League on fire.

 

Having said that, we are Newcastle United and we'll probably end up buying Wes Brown and Steve Sidwell
