  1. Overpaying for him by quite a large margin imo, but then that seems to be the case for practically every decent player moving in this window so far.

How much do you think he's worth?

think his price is bang on - consider woodgate (8m to spurs right?)

woodgate is probably the better defender by far but his price lower due to him being a cripple...9m for a 26 year old regular argentinian CB, good value to me

not that i'm believing the papers mind

    no

  2. Whoever we put in midfield, someone's going to have to do some tackling. Our priority is to get in a DM who can pass the ball. That'd make a big difference. Until then, it feels like we're tinkering around the edges of the problem.

  3.

do you believe everything you read in the press  bluelaugh.gif

    Do you?

do you believe this, or is it the rantings of a maniac with the knives out ........

What says you can believe it?

You believe it because that would prove you right. We don´t believe it because of the opposite option (and also because you can´t believe what the papers are writing. especially Sunday Sun mackems.gif)

  4. SSN reckon 'sources close to the player' say we're in talks with him.

f***ing hope not tbh, he and Taylor would be awful together.

hmm. didn´t he just for a few days ago pulled out of negotiation

Trust Keegan. If he wants Ferdinand, I also want him :coolsmiley:

  5. KEEGAN

This attitude is really starting to annoy me. Some fans seem to be supporting the manager more than the club these days.

Keegan isn't a miracle worker, especially when he's only got s*** players to turn into world beaters.

I say one word and you question my attitude.  Who the f*** are you to judge.  :knuppel2:

Keegan spreads optimism.  He makes the team play better football than fatty sam.  At least well enjoy it more.

If I was as prejudgemental as you, I would say you need some prozak.  But since I don't know s*** about you, except you s*** comment, I'm going to wait with my judgment.

Bloody hell mate, calm down. Who needs the prozak?

I meant the attitude which plenty of fans are sharing that Keegan is the reason to be happy, despite everything else at the club being s***. I just happened to quote you as you were the first to post it in this thread.

    :frantic:

  6. Hull have been really impressive in the summer. for example. what the hell are Stoke doing? Hull needs more player to stay up. but I think they will have a chance. Stoke is going to be the new Derby and WBA will get problems too.

I totally disagree with this. why aren´t anyone alowed to have high hopes for a manager? Look at Sir Alex, look at Mourinho and look at Wenger (for example) and see all the hipe around them.

For me. A coach is a hugh part of a team. I can easily say that about 50% of a clubs performance is due to the manager and his staff.

I also don´t see the different in hoping Martins, Zog , Milner etc will improve and make us to a top team when you can´t say that a manager, who definitive has a bigger impact in a team than a singel player, will be the key person.

To sum this up. I totally disegree with the quote above.

  8. interesting about Guthrie. Bolton fans seemed to think he was positive, had a bit of pace and quite skilful, though a lot of his attempts to create were over-ambitious and usually failed. shows that there is a bit of talent in there waiting to be developed even if he's not ready to be first choice XI for the coming season. but as a holding player? a couple of bolton fans also said he couldnt tackle and was lightweight so i'm not sure he'd be that suited for the role.

Maybe but I bet people said similar about an average right winger being our main cm (Rob Lee).  Guthire is pretty much a raw talent he can be moulded to some extent to play in several roles.

He's young and has an eye for a good pass

He could develop into a great box to box player for us if they can get the best out of him

sounds very interesting indeed. Keegan never said that he should play like a holding midfielder. Just that it one thing that he can developing. also don´t think we should be so sure that he will be a reserve. will be interesting too so. But I think he will play quite a lot this coming season.

  9. Btw there's a third video coming, I assume it'll be live tomorrow.

You've quoted all three videos Dave.

The 442 implication is mainly down to Keegan saying that the thing that caught his eye with Gutierrez was his supply line from the wing for Guiza last season.

Said Shola and Smith up front (no lie) will love him.

Is Spidey playing for the reserves next season then?

He said Owen and Viduka too, but I thought I'd ought to emphasise Keegan's implication that everybody's two favourite players will be here next season.

They were never going to leave. Maybe Ameobi will if a good bid comes in, otherwise, not. Also probably just said all our strikers would like him. But of course I hope we sing at least one good striker. The two that have been mention are not good enough. But there was no surprise they would be here. Just some foolish supporter dream.
