As our club is now "broken" with the players and fans morale at rock bottom, the best formation I can come up with is all 11 players bent over with their shorts round their ankles, ready to be fucked royally up the arse. That'll teach Ashley!!

Good shout, with Beardsley or Johnny Beresford alongside perhaps.

I agree. Just what fucking qualification does this Italian U-21 coach have ffs?
-
An Italian passport. You just know the same people swooning over yet another Chelsea yes-man with no qualifications would turn their nose up at Alan Shearer. As a general topic, how many Newcastle fans would actually want Shearer in charge at this moment in time? I'd personally not want him at all. At this stage, anyway. I don't like Shearer personally, but I have a feeling he could be a good manager. He's ruled himself out in any case so it's a dead topic under the current owner.

I don't mind taking it. Count me in

I'd agree with Beardsley actually. I am pretty sure he would be a shit manager, but we need one of our own to fuck things up before we will be ready to accept a foreign manager after Keegan.

Just pointing out where they got that link from. Also, I actually agree with Keegan on this one; sometimes a window of opportunity opens and you can try to attract a player above your station, just like we did with Owen. I'm pretty sure if you throw enough money at it, you can attract some pretty good players. Just look at Man City. We just need an owner with endless funds, pretty simple really.

A comment allegedly made by one of Ashley's competitors - "Ashley is like a Locust - He finds a brand, utterly rapes it then moves on to the next" - I seriously fear for our club while he remains in charge There's no guarantees that the next owner will be much different tbh.

I have a feeling that had KK's transfer targets been of the right type (e.g. Modric rather than Beckham), the board would have made more serious efforts to pursue them. Reading between the lines, they weren't impressed with his suggestions, went their own way, and KK feeling under-mined, quit. in a nutshell, although this is just opinion like most of the stuff here. Do you actually think KK gave them that so called list? The man isn't tuned to the moon ffs. Why would he of thought they would join us at this point in time? Yes I do. I've been through all of KK's time here from a player through to both stints as manager. It sounds very much like a Keegan list, whether it's true or not.

I doubt they were expecting us to be a top 4 club after one summer's spending tbf. The emphasis was on long term improvement I believe. While every year falling behind our competitors? I would say the squad is better than it was last season, even though we have not spent enough.

That's true, and it's testament to the ability of Jiminez in particular to wheel and deal in the transfer market. Unlike many of the knee-jerkers and emotional reactionaries on here at the moment, I'm able to see that there is some good work being done in this regard for the first time in ages. The initial point raised is a valid one though. £12m seems a very stingy transfer budget in anyone's language. I assume the Modric bid was a genuine one so something doesn't quite add up.

I'm sure we'll see far more professionalism with the next owner, and I doubt he'll be naive enough to hire a local hero after this sorry episode.

By that you only mean he never gets sacked though surely? Buggers off before anyone gets chance to. As a temporary measure he works out well, but after his first spell at Newcastle he didn't stay in any job for a great length of time, did he? Couple of seasons at City being the longest he managed if I remember rightly. Would any of his previous have teams actually sacked him? apart from england I don't know. he has officially resigned from Newcastle, he hasn't been sacked. Anyway, the point of this thread was: will he be in demand by other Premier League clubs now he is available? I think if any of them thought for a second he would actually take the job, some clubs would crawl over broken glass to get a manager like KK. He went to Fulham and City after us last time. Neither were top division clubs. Other than us, I'm just trying to think which club other than ours would have given him a job before or after his recent spell here?

I supported Keegan from the first day to the last while he was manager of Newcastle United, unlike some fairweather twats who are even now blowing with the wind ( no Parky, I'm not talking about you).
-
Not really. I agree. Well for a start, what do you mean by there being no rush? Is there usually a rush of Premiership clubs come in for a manager (and obviously sack their own) when he leaves his current post? I've never seen this happen before. So you are concentrating on one word: 'rush' rather than the gist of the thread and opening post?
-
Not really. I agree.
-
Strange isn't it, that he was out of work before Ashley brought him back, and after resigning there's still no rush to take him on by EPL clubs outside Newcastle?
-
We keep hearing how so few managers will be prepared to work at Newcastle under the current set up, on the flip side, how many other Premier club Chairmen will be prepared to hire Keegan after his fall out with Mike Ashley?
-
I gave my reasons in the other thread you raised suggesting the same thing.

Guthrie, Lennon and Warnock have all been named in the papers. Who else was on that list? Ronaldhino, Beckham and Henry were also on the list according to reports citing sources at the club.
