Aye, I've always thought that Shola could score a boatload in the Championship (although wasn't he on loan there at some point last season and singularly failed to do so..?) All the teams in the Championship play like Stoke; it's gonna be a walk in the park.. And we're being outplayed by Stoke at the moment!

I think fairly clearly they went with shola today for his physical presence to defend set pieces... lesson learned by all I spose. Not to worry though, it'll just make the comeback all the better. Not going to happen IMO! Shola remains on the pitch and make us concede another stupid goal at the best...If we can't challenge Stoke we really don't deserve to be at this level(neither does Stoke in the first place)

You must be kidding like? Do you honestly expect him to work? I might have accepted decision like this in case Shola would have been playing for the reserves on a regular basis and banging goals like this Macheda guy(or even Ranger) but a player of his calibre lacking match fitness being picked ahead of Oba is just pure madness
