Erm. Did you see the way the Riot Police were all in the Man U end, just watching the Roma fans lobbing all sorts over? That's provocation. If the police had been on both sides, hell, just ROMA's side, this would have been a lot less likely to happen. It was a typical "Get the English, they're the real trouble" mentality from the Italians. More likely, though, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a deliberate move on the Police's part not to make matters worse and have a running battle between the Police and Roma fans. Sort of "let them (Mancs) have it, we can then use the usual English are trouble story". Can't believe you're blaming the Man U fans. At all. That guy with the chair, I'd have been doing that if I was there. You're being attacked by the very people put there to protect you, cause they're too s*** scared to take on their own people. f****** scum, the cops, the Roma fans, the whole lot. I'm not blaming them, Bluf. However, I don't think they're innocent of any wrong doing. I said in the CL thread that the coppers over there are baton happy and especially towards the English. The whole thing is a damn shame. To be fair, some Man U fans could take some responsibility. Maybe not the ones in the stadium, but when you're advised not to go to the stadium alone, and then do so, you're asking for it, I'm afraid. You're right though, damn shame. Just seen the head of police, or something like, on the BBC. The whitewash has begun, he said something along the lines of "It's a hobby for the English to blame the police", that as may be, but the rest of the world has eyes, too. Fucking Italians.

Could it be, finally, justice at last...?
-
Why fucking bother, nothing changes, too shit scared to do anything about it.

I agree with that sentiment, but I think there comes a time when a point has to be made. English fans are clearly victimised over there, not just by other fans, but by people that should be protecting us. It's nuts. They need chipped out, it's the only way, in my opinion, as that's the time these teams will REALLY look at their fans. When the cash isn't rolling in from Europe. It needs to be done by UEFA or the likes though, Italian politics is too weak at the moment.

Don't go to Italy. Fans should really boycott, I question the sense in going, if I'm honest.

Get these Italians to fuck, let them stew for 5-10 years in the wilderness. Getting beyond a joke now.

To be fair, Scotland is not technically a country, Vic is correct. They are a country in a romantic, maybe even patriotic sense, but it is not officially a nation/country. Vic being pointless, though.

I still find that odd. Proud to be British, maybe? I'm proud to be English, but i don't support other English teams. I think i'm a bit old-fashioned, as discussed before. I think you should support the team from where you come/at least have a strong link to. So i can't get my head around supporting any team that doesn't fall into that category. Maybe i'm just odd. Well, more odd than normal, i mean. I accept that like, but I just never know why people pretend they don't understand why other people do it. I'm a bit like yourself, I don't like to support other British teams, just reminds me how shite we are. No, i genuinely don't understand. Like how i don't understand why someone would support a team where they don't come from as theur first team. I genuinely don't understand the mindset, its not rational to me, but hey ho. Yes it may not be your local team, but we're all under the British umbrella. It may mean less you, but it doesn't to others, and it's nowt to do with being old fashioned. If anything, the old fashioned way was getting behind your fellow countrymen, let's be honest. Whereas now it's all divisions and hatred over petty fucking sports.

Agreed. Voted for them too. That Mihajlovic was a right piece of work, how many times did he get done for spitting? Scum of the highest order. And that Di Canio nazi salute. Just a fucked up club. Hmm, makes my Celtic vote look a little petty... then, you don't have to put up with the fuckers.
-
I fancy Bayern this year, fancied them before Hitzfeld took over, to be fair, but since, it almost seems like it's meant to be.
-
Thoroughly chuffed Celtic are topping this. Will let the local Tims know just how loved they are outside of their little world.
-
Under Barcelona and above Valencia.
-
What a mongo.
-
Celtic. Their fans never shut up about past success, like never, even if that success comes in the form of getting into the second phase of the CL.
-
Nasty. Takes the shine of tonight's result a tad as well.

Michael Owen in not connected to the fans shocker. Even more ridiculous, this thread and general outrage, if the players are told not to sign for the kids. It's not Owen's fault the soft as shite players couldn't do as they're told. Perhaps take it up with the club why they see fit to tell our players not to sign anything, but pinpointing Owen is pretty pathetic, even if the rest break the rules and sign away. Anything to have a go at the guy, for some people. This comes from someone that doesn't particularly like the bloke, but I can accept what football has become. Stop crying. Oh, and he's not ignorant. Well, he could be, but it has no relevance to this thread.

As well intentioned as these moves/ideas can be, I always think they'll end in tears.
-
Ugh, more ITV football coverage. That's great, that is, just great.

I disagree. When we're playing Andorra, results aren't all that matter. You can't ignore that the majority of the game was the England of late. 3-0 seems like a good result, but the performance was lacking. I was being sarcastic overall, though the win is the most important thing in a qualifying campaign. Gerrard just basically confirmed what I said anyway, said it was the hardest atmosphere he's ever played in. Yeah, it's definately great to get the three points and stay alive in the campaign, but something needs to happen before the next round of matches. England are still in trouble. It's going to have to get worse before something happens though. The FA have never been known for taking bold decisions and they won't now, despite the fact everyone can see this ending in the shits.
