My point is yes agree he might have been a useful squad addition, but Bobby wanted him partnering Bellamy up front as his first choice. Maybe doolally is a bit OTT but there was definately a couple of holes starting to appear in his marble sack if he wanted to go through the season with Mpenza and Bellamy as our front 2, whilst giving Liverpool who at the time were our equals the premieships all time leading striker with a couple of good years still left in the tank. Fair enough.

Not read the thread, but I reckon Arsenal are slowly building up to old ways. Ferguson has proved that money isn't what's needed to match and beat Chelsea, and Wenger is one of the best team builders around. They'll be as good a shout as any for next season, especially if Man U win it this year, although you'd need to wait and see what type of reaction Chelsea throw. It's getting harder for them to buy the title, but it's possible.
