  1. Well a new back four of Ryan Taylor Bassong Distin Fox looks half decent Think we could get away with a 3-4-3 formation if we get the players in we think Harper Bassong Distin Colo Velosso Taylor Fox Nolan Martins Owen\Carrol\Ameobi Jonas Taylor and Fox can tuck back in when we loose the ball and if both are dangerous from set pieces then that's one area we've been sorely lacking Also Jonas in a free role behind the front 2 Suicidal patching together a completely different back four with a new goalkeeper. Back 3 to be fair

  3. I'd be happy with Taylor, Distin/Sol , Fox, Bent and Veloso We'll get Taylor, Fox
  4. Distin and Bassong in central defence .....I doubt there`s any truth in that transfer rumour though Still more viable than the Velosso story!
  5. There's been rumours of Sol leaving, him having a lass up here, and Kinnear asked about Hyppia, so his age wouldn't be a concern. Why are we after a centre half? It's one position where we're relatively well off. Is Joe thinking of putting Colo at defensive mid again? My train of thought as well. Also wasn't it Sol that was questioning Adams decision making and his weird team talks?
  6. If this happens I refuse to believe it, or even get my hopes up about it. Daniel Fox sounds more like it. If this happens and we get Ryan Taylor, Daniel Fox or Whatever and another centre half along with Velosso then i'll be very happy. However if we end up with just Ryan Taylor i'll be fucking livid
  7. Newcastle United are racing against time to sign Miguel Veloso from Sporting Lisbon for a fee close to £11 million, according to The Sun. Joe Kinnear has already stated that the club hopes to bring in at least two new faces to St. James' Park, and he was quick to state that Veloso was in fact a target. Speaking to reporters after the game against Sunderland, Kinnear said: 'He is [definitely] a realistic target.' The Magpies will hope to tie-up the deal as early as possible, and if both clubs agree a fee, Sporting's midfield ace could be headed for the Toon in the next few hours. The Sun also estimates that a central defender is on the way for the Magpies, although, no names were mentioned. The news comes after Kinnear publicly conceded defeat at the hands of Liverpool in his attempts to capture highly-rated veteran centre-back Sami Hyypia.
  8. It depends who they are. From the way Kinnear was saying they're big enough signings i'd expect them to be around the Nolan level. Not too expensive average pro's. I don't expect anything more than disappointment today, with nothing coming in of note that's going to spark us into life.
  9. Dresses like a young conservative
  10. indeed... wigan now much more dangerous team than i expect before Fuck me! with Zoggy there? lol He's dogshite
  11. Well goodbye Zoggy! You've been shite Good to get a sizable amount for what is a very very average player. Now get Bent/Saviola and Veloso in and we maybe heading in the right direction for once, get nobody else in and Ashley & Co will not have done anything near enough to repair the damage they have done!
  12. turns into a good player on FM. French winger? no thanks. Fuck me! What would happen if Kinnear tried to tackle a name like that
  13. Newcastle United have emerged as the most likely club to land Javier Saviola from Real Madrid on a six-month loan deal, after Portsmouth manager Tony Adams ruled out a move for the 27-year-old earlier today. Speaking to Setanta Sports, Adams said: 'Sometimes it can take six months to a year to get to know the pace of the Premiership so, when I'm looking for players, I'm looking at players with a certain fitness level to start with. 'That's maybe why I'm not taking him [saviola]. I've not pursued it - I've looked at over 150 players in the last two and a half months.' With Michael Owen out for at least six to eight weeks due to injury, the Magpies are desperately seeking reinforcements, and it has now emerged that they are keen to bring the Argentine speed-demon, who is affectionately called 'The Rabbit' to the Premiership. Maybe but maybe bollocks

  15. Now if we get him in then i'd think Ashley's taking things a bit more seriously
  16. we need players ffs, would you rather we signed no one at all? he'll be a player fit for a relegation battle unlike 3/4's of our team Yeah we need players alright but better than we've already got. He is NOT! FACT! Butt-Geremi or Butt-Nolan? Whether or not he's better than Guthrie or Barton is questionable - but he's better than Geremi imo. Got an eye for goal aswell, don't forget. Time will tell And if he makes me eats my words then great but i'm not holding out for anything special.

  18. Average signing and perfect for the championship, hope Ashley just fucks off in the summer.
  19. Think we have finally hit rock bottom If the mackems get any kind of a result this sunday then NUFC is dead!
