  1. He's out injured for the rest of the season, so would be an ideal replacement for Smith Bollocks! Shoud really wiki my targets first
  2. With our hands tied in terms of transfer monies! I wouldn't mind seeing us offloading Alan Smith to West Brom in a swap deal with Ishmael Miller. Always been impressed with that lad each time i've seen him and only 21.
  3. Newcastle told strike targets are not for sale Jan 22 2009 by Stuart Rayner, The Journal NEWCASTLE United face further disappointment in the transfer market after two of their forward targets were declared not for sale – at least for now. And French champions Lyon are considering exploiting Tuesday’s training ground fight between Charles N’Zogbia and striker Andy Carroll with a cut-price offer for the unsettled French midfielder. Reports have suggested the Magpies are preparing a bid for Atalanta striker Sergio Floccari, with Nice striker Loïc Rémy an alternative. Neither club, though, is prepared to sell. However, both might be open to offers in the summer, when Newcastle’s need is likely to be far greater. Reports in Italy suggest a £15m bid is imminent for Floccari. This seems unlikely given the budget constraints Joe Kinnear is working under, but even were it to happen, Atalanta are likely to resist. “He will stay until the end of the season,” the club’s president, Carlo Osti has said. “It’s a decision we took a year ago. He’s not for sale and no one has knocked on our door yet for him.” Palermo and Roma have also been linked with the late developer, who started in Serie C2. Neither would be able to match a £15m offer. The 27-year-old, compared in some quarters to Spain’s David Villa, has hit 10 goals this season and been touted for a call-up to the Italian national side. Newcastle’s scouts are also said to have been impressed by France B international Rémy, who they were linked with in the summer of 2007 after his impressive performances at the Toulon Tournament. The 22-year-old’s agent has poured cold water on talk of a January transfer, however. “For now it is impossible,” said Federic Guerra. “He has a contract with Nice for another three years. “I don’t know if Nice want to sell him in the summer but if they did, the price would be big.” Nice are said to value Rémy, who they bought from Lyon in the summer, at £5m. Newcastle are currently well stocked with forwards. The problem has been keeping them fit in the short term, and keeping them full-stop in the longer term. Obafemi Martins only returned to training after a hernia operation this week and is aiming to be fit to face Sunderland on February 1. Mark Viduka has not featured since injuring his groin in his only start of the campaign, on Boxing Day, and Shola Ameobi’s ankle is taking longer than expected to heal. Viduka and captain Michael Owen are both out of contract this summer. Kinnear is thought to only have a budget of around £10m this month and supplementing it with sales is proving difficult. Geremi’s move to Besiktas already seemed to be dying on its feet before the hamstring injury to Danny Guthrie, which is likely to see him pressed into action against Manchester City on January 28. Charles N’Zogbia’s asking price will have fallen after Tuesday’s training ground shenanigans. The club has unsurprisingly played down the incident, with Kinnear insisting neither player will be punished for fighting in front of Carlisle United players warming up for a behind-closed-doors friendly. But the N’Zogbia saga refuses to go away, with a constant stream of quotes attributed to him and his agent suggesting he wants to leave. Tuesday’s behaviour only furthers the impression. Lyon appeared to offer a possible escape route, but this week’s news has weakened United’s hand and the French champions may now try to sign the 23-year-old at a reduced price. Selling Shay Given would yield further funds, but Kinnear is understandably reluctant to part with his best player and City’s bargaining tactics suggest negotiations would be drawn out. The Eastlands club have come back with a second bid this week. But the world’s richest club are anxious not to be taken for a ride and are therefore offering way below Given’s true value. The eight-figure fees paid for Craig Bellamy and Nigel de Jong suggest a realistic bid could eventually be forthcoming, but perhaps not in time for Kinnear to reinvest. Yet another fucking blind link. Lovenkrands and this 2nd rate defender is about all we'll get.
  4. Fucking Allardyce's payoff boils my piss! That Freddie Shepherd is a right fucking tosser.
  5. So really Ashley's ambition went as soon as he discovered the extent of the debt, but more fool him for not seeing it before he took the club of the stock exchange. The other question would be if he didn't have to pay the 70m worth of debt , how much of that would have gone into reshaping the 1st team? Think Shepherd and the Halls had their part to play in why we're in the state we're in currently, but we knew that already. Best we can hope for is get some half decent loan signings in the next 7 days, avoid relegation, and hope Ashley fucks off and we get someone in who has realistic ambitions to move us forward.
  6. I think this thread is a curse! It needs deleting and a new one creating, then maybe we'll sign someone.
  7. Hope the fucker chokes on his bargain bucket.
  8. Has he a history of it? Debateable. Also he did lose control over transfers but still wanted to soldier on for the club he loved.... SBR was 10 times the manager Keegan was, antoher reason why i dont understadn the messiah like status afforded to Keegan. He acheived the greatest results from our beloved NUFC than any other manager in recent times, that is messiah status.
  9. I honestly belive Ashley is still sold on the Arsenal set-up. Yes we're are bringing in allot of highly rated youngsters but totally ignoring the first team. If this Fat Cunt thinks he can spend next to nothing on the first team until these youngsters come through then he's an even bigger donut than I first thought. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if this is what he's thinking.
  10. I can see the report at 11.40 pm on Jan the 31st SSN Transfer Centre clockwatch: 23.40 Newcastle manager Joe Kinnear is alone in the dugout necking some barley wine and gently sobbing like a bairn. 23.41 As we understand it 22,000 Newcastle United fans are on their way to Buckinghamshire with pitchforks and loaded shotguns to do some "business". What? sell pitchforks and shotguns?
  11. I was referring to beef curtains. Oh you mean pass flips?

  13. I've read the rumour several times in the media. Redknapp doesn't rate him if you believe what you read. He is even lazier with less ability Santos is shit. He plays on the right and is totally left-footed so he cuts in all the time. He's a poor man's Peter Lovenkrands. No, I think we're just about to sign that one!
  14. Same for many of us. NE5 to a certain extent as well

    Kinnear Out

If they think that now wait until next season. You better believe it. So Kinnear's not taking any free transfers either? I guess that means Lovenkrands aint coming?? Ah but he said he'd get bums off seats and everything. Guess he'd watched a you tube compilation before he made that statement.
  16. FYP. The comments today from Kinnear (yes, he may be lying ) are truly amazing. I simply can't believe it. I keep thinking we've hit rock bottom only for something else to come along to take the piss even further.
  17. Why not write that on a brick and launch through Llambias's cars windscreen?
  18. While I don't advocating him beating up his own team-mates, at least he shows some emotion. Michael Owen looks like he is bored stiff and just waiting for Man City to come and get him. How inspirational and motivational that must be! An ineffective captain is better than a captain that has a negative effect. What are you on about? How can Owen's glaring desire to leave this club be seen as anything but a negative effect? What does Owen actually do in a match when he doesn't score to gee the lads on? Have you seen how annonymous he is when he doesn't have the ball? There is no one man bigger than this club, even England's Michael Owen! I can only assume you didn't see the game today. Whenever we broke through their back line it was usually down to Owen finding some space in behind. This "glaring desire" to leave is entirely your own opinion, by the way. Everything he's said so far has been to the contrary and the club has only recent started contract talks with him. On the other hand you have Barton who is quite clearly a twat of a man. No I didn't see or hear the game today. But I have seen plenty others. The glaring desire I speak of is to wait about talking about his contract until he is a free agent. Surely if he wanted to be at the club (and he claims money is not the object) then his agent can negotiate the deal and he can sign it. His refusal to sort out the deal until the summer points towards the fact that he doesn't want to be here. or he's keeping his options open... as I'm sure you would if given the same situation... as I'm sure any decent players would given the same situation. If Ameobi and Butt had any real prospects in the Premiership do you think they'd have re-signed? Fact is; Owen wants to win. Whether it's because he wants to get into the England side, or he's in the shop window, or whatever. He wants to do well regardless. Anyway, we're digressing... A rule of thumb in our situation should be: first do no harm. While Owen may or may not be the ideal captain he's certainly a better influence than a lose cannon. Don't get me wrong, Barton is a good player and I want him in the side for the time being. However, as passionate as he is, he doesn't exactly have the best judgement does he? He's certainly not a leader of men that the changing room are going to look up to and rally behind. Him staying hinges on signing quality in the next two weeks. If he see's no progress then he'll be off and I don't blame him. Greedy little bastard
