Don't judge him on one fixture, the last 51 in the league he has a win percentage of less than 30% and we lose more than every other game.

I would say at this club not controlling transfers hardly matters, he's not being given shit.

I would take Di Matteo over Pardew any day of the week and I would expect him to get more from the players than our current arsehole.

That would depend who he was replaced with.

We've been better for short periods and that isn't hyperbole.

Did anybody stand out in the cup games? I don't remember them doing so. I'm not trying to make out that he's brilliant, I just haven't seen anything to make me want to write him off.

What does it mean then?

That's "Damning with faint praise". Marveaux having the most assists for us last season (in a God awful season) shows how poor the return is from our so called "creative players". When has Marveaux ever grabbed a game by the scruff of the neck and gone and got us a win? "A very good impact". You must have your sights set very low. I don't want Marveaux to be a tidy player. I want him (and all the other creative players) to set up chances, score goals and put 100% effort in. His usual contribution is to flit in and out of games, occasionally doing a good pass and occasionally being invisible. He can't set up chances or score goals if he's not involved. He's a good player who hasn't really been given a chance, a bit like Anita only with less chances. Last season he made 22 league appearances, scored 1 and created 6 goals for us. He hasn't scored enough but he's hardly likely to if he's not given a run of games.

Class, we're level with a team that had played 9 games after gaining promotion, I feel so much better for knowing that.

But, but, but we can't be, people on here keep saying how much better we've been than last season.

He's broken some poor records, heaviest defeat against the mackems at home for decades and the heaviest home defeat since before my parents were born.

Pardew is a right arse, why change so much during the season when we've had a summer to work on things? He's a total arse and hasn't got a clue what he's doing, unfortunately neither have the players.
