That season was brilliant, I was gutted when we lost to Grimsby by a wonder goal.
-
No, the best average they've had was in 1950 when they averaged 47,785. Edit. They've averaged less than 17,000, 30 times to our 11.

Dyer wouldn't have been the same player in this team as he was under Robson because he would be starting from much deeper in this team.

Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Ba, Cisse, Anita and Marveaux are good enough players to get something out of. Ba and Cisse both have a better goals to game ration here than Shearer had and that's while playing for a negative manager. We don't have wingers like either Solano or Robert, we do have very good players who could do much better if we set up in a way that was going to bring the best out of them.

I disagree when we have a squad like we do. Just having one player out (Colo) makes a massive difference as we don't have another defender at the club capable of keeping things organised at the back. If it was Simpson, Jonas and Cisse out we wouldn't have been hurt so much. Colo, Krul and Tiote (based on last seasons performances) is massive. Losing the players you mention might not have been such a problem if we based our game around hurting the opposition instead of stopping them. We've had far worse defences at this club and managed because we based our game around getting at the opposition and letting them worry about us instead of worrying about them.

Good point, taking that into account, they've had a higher average crowd than us 21 times, we've had a higher average 88 times.
-
they are doing this because we had 50 thousand yesterday- and away fans are more difficult to measure- find statistics about. they also bang on about pre 92 crowd bollox, but when you look at the 2o years before 92- we had higher averages, around 10k higher than them. and a few seasons in 70s and 80s we were 3rd best in country- even when in lower division. Summary-Mackems lie about crowds to feel better. Sunderland have had a higher average crowd than us 21 times since we were formed, two of those were in our first two seasons as a football club. We've averaged more than them 88 times which includes this season so far.

I'm the same and he played right in front of me when he came on. He probably made 3 crosses which came to nothing and a couple of times he could have been away from his defender and slowed down.
-
Don't encourage him.

Wtf? I hate Shaking Stevens with a passion, my mother had one of his LP's when I was a kid and I was woken up every Sunday morning by that bastard when I had a massive hangover. I think she only had 2 LP's, the other was some fat Greek bloke who I would also rather never hear or see again.

I was at the game and I'm on here, the substitutions he made are the same substitutions that work every so often and fail more often than they work. Today was the 11th appearance for Shola in the league, it was his first goal.
-
Was that the one when we were breaking with the ball and brought play back?
-
He took his goal really well, he can go back into his box now.
-
I had a first today, I stopped cheering when we won a corner.
-
I can't remember when a team came here and looked as bad as QPR, it must have been when we were in the Championship.
-
The best thing he did was when he tracked back and won the ball, other than that he was busy.
-
He should have started, again.
-
Agreed, I was gutted for Cisse when he was taken off.
-
I felt Jonas was glad to come off because he was getting really frustrated when things weren't working for him.
-
He owes Shola massively today because he lost a large portion of the crown when he brought Cisse off.
-
We were really awful for most of the game but the points are all that matter from today. We had plenty of the ball and hadn't a clue what to do with it until we brought Marveaux on. QPR must be the worst team in the division, we had no creativity for much of the game and they had even less.
