He hasn't taken a penny yet so why worry about something which hasn't happened and might never happen?

We are no better off if he cancels the loans. If things went badly then he would be our biggest creditor and because of that he would be entitled to get a share of whatever cash the club brought in, if he cancels the loans then he isn't. We're no better off if he does cancel the loans than we are now with the loans that we're not paying back. At least he has a little security as things stand now and he must deserve that, mustn't he?

I was informing the uneducated, I knew that.

What have we as fans got to lose by going along with what they are now trying to do? I've been as pissed off as anybody at some of the shit that we've played at times this season but it's no longer important. All we need to concentrate on is promotion and then staying up. We'll probably have a better chance if we're all pulling in the same direction. -

If we pay nothing a season then we'll never have to pay it back.

I know that question wasn't aimed at me but I think we need to give them at least two years. We had 4 poor years before Bobby came and it took him two years to sort the club out from a higher starting position and then it paid off.

He hasn't taken a penny, let's give him the benefit of the doubt on that one until he does.

The longer we're back in the division the better it will be for us. We've lost a fortune this season and that will take time to get over. We'll not manage that in 1 season, it might take a couple.

I thought that I was that person.

I don't know but maybe that question should be pointed to the knobs who hassled them at Barnsley, only they can answer that one, I can't. -

Do you really think that they could go into town without having hassle? -

Maybe he did gamble with the clubs future earlier in the season and it looks like paying off, he's been slated for not doing so last season and quite rightly so. Should he get hassle for gambling when it works? -

We spent £5.5 million in January and I think we could have managed without it. If he wanted to spend as little as possible then we could have gotten rid of more high earners than we did. -

Why shouldn't he go into town after a game? Why should they or anybody else be unable to go out in town? -

We bought players in January because we thought that we might not go up, the money was spent to try and improve our chances of promotion. It's just a pity we didn't do the same to stay up but at least it does look like lessons were learned. -
If we don't finish as high up the league as we do this season then heads must roll.

That's a very good post and I agree with most of it, the difference between our views appears to be the state of the club when he took over because I do think we were in deep shit and were always going to struggle. Like you though I agree that he's now responsible for everything which happens at the club and he's got a fresh start as far as getting finances and the club running right as he's had a massive cull of staff. Everything he does now is going to be with his staff and the club will be run the way that he thinks it should be run, he's got no more excuses. By that I'm not saying that we were always going to be relegated because I'm not, he could have done things better and kept us up but he didn't.

I think it's more just about trying to garner more sympathy for Ashley in the light of what's been said in the media of recent. The man (Llambias) is a clown and a liar. Llambias wasn't even at the club when the lies were told to the fans, Chris Mort was running the club and it was him and others who were branded liars.

Sorry, I meant a different he.

He had the money at the time but like most investors lost quite a bit when the global ecenomy dipped.

The parachute payment isn't handed out in one lump sum and we'll get nothing more than 1 payment if we are promoted this season so we'll get a third of the total as I'm sure it's paid over 3 years.
