Nah, I think that's just saying there are 133m 5p shares in issue. It's probably just registering the fact that Belgravia are in negotiations with the shareholders, which we already know. There's a huge amount of pointless paperwork that goes with being listed on the stock exchange Keeps me in a job. Sarbanes-Oxley? Take that back! Another thing to thank our Yank cousins for Nice little earner for auditors though?

Hey ho, I'll try to live with the disappointment :winking: make a shola one, delete this thread and say sorry to me. then all will be forgiven. This is satire - Shola would be pure farce bluebiggrin.gif

Wouldn't it be fantastic if they sewed his eyebrow back on but the wrong way up? He'd win every one-on-one, mind. Striker: "What the fuck!!!!! What's that on your face!?" Kenny: "Thanks for the ball mate" bluebiggrin.gif

Some pages purporting to be from Lee Clark's coaching notebook have come into my possession bluebiggrin.gif ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * The gaffer told me to start this notebook. “That’s what I did with everything I learned at Leyton Orient and Gillingham, and look at me now.” Will help with me coaching course too. Howay Clarky son! * How to keep up spirits Good lesson from the gaffer today. He gets all the players in a line and says “Step forward all those who think they’re good enough to play on Saturday.....Not you Albert”. Then everyone falls about laughing. Albert Lucky’s keeping all wor spirits up! * JOB PROMOTION!!!!! Now I do the cones! * Be Positive Like the gaffer. “Always be positive. You must never talk about how you CANT do something” he says. Saw this at the team meeting today. “YOUR ALL A BUNCH OF CANTS” the gaffer shouted and walked out. * ANOTHER JOB PROMOTION!!!!! After Dyers accident, Terry Macs been taken off flags! (remember the gaffer wants the flags spaced out proper like). * Saw the gaffer looking in his Gillingham coaching notebook today ahead of the Sheffield game - working on the tactics. Must ask the gaffer about that. * BE CALM. The gaffer does not get nervous or angry. Very important when it’s not going well - the gaffer says he’s very experienced at things not going well. Your learning all the time Clarky son. * Asked the gaffer about tactics after the Sheffield game. He told us to piss off (try when he’s not angry?) He called all the players CANTS again. Also called Lucky a Spanish CANT. BE POSITIVE! * Keeping up spirits The gaffer is brilliant at this. The players always point and laugh at him when he goes past. Must ask him what he says to make them do it. They do it with Terry Mac too! * Is going to the bookies part of coaching like? Terry Mac says so but no-one else on the course does it. Must ask the gaffer. * What’s the point of Baba like? Must ask the gaffer. * Saw a brilliant coaching session with the first team today! The gaffer worked on Titus passing. “Long and short” he says over and over. Coming on a treat. Worked on Titus defending too. Looked amazing! * Overheard Gaffer calling Titus a useless long ball CANT. Also called Lucky a useless Spanish CANT. Also called the chairman a fat stupid CANT (that must be about transfer money). Too many CANTS around here still. * Tactics Not getting the hang of this tactics business. Cant work out how it works for us. That makes me a CANT too. Asked the gaffer but he was too busy to help. Asked Terry Mac and he laughed. Must stay calm and positive * Gaffer has asked to borrow my course notes on tactics. Must be to see if I’m learning the right stuff. I’m lucky to be working for a top coach like. I’ll start learning tactics from him soon I bet. * DIET Are meat pies part of our diet? Saw a load in Stevie Carrs bag. Must ask the gaffer. * ANOTHER JOB PROMOTION!!!!! Have taken over tea making after Terry Mac scolded his nob on a prank. Remember milk and 2 sugars for the gaffer. *

This shouldn't even be considered really. Put him on the plane imo

Personally I think he'll get more time to come good. Sackage will be beckoning if we are still bottom 3 come xmas. Unless Shepherd gets mobbed of course; fear of being hanged from a lamp post Mussolini stylee might just move it up his agenda a tad.

There was talk that a fast route to money making was to move the ground. If the ground is developed into lodgings, the area is prime city centre. The ground could then be moved outside of the city to a cheaper location. Initially this costs a bit but city centre apartments are going to bring in money quickly, IIRC the stumbling block is that we don't own the land at SJP, just the stadium
-
Yes, you've misunderstood. The key word is "brought" not bought. What he's saying is that there was no point in taking a senior player like Luque to Manchester if he had no intention of playing him in the team or from the bench. "He wasn't brought to Manchester" means "He wasn't taken to Manchester".
-
Possible avenues of increased profit over than those mentioned: - sponsor SJP - merchandising - football rights & spinoffs - restructure debts - cost savings on directors salaries - cost savings on players wages/transfer fees - brand exploitation The most effective & best way of increasing revenue is success on the pitch as you say. More TV coverage & CL footy. They'll have a plan to make money that's for sure, like the Glaziers, who knows if it's to the detriment of the club or not. They may even have someone in mind to sell it on to for a quick buck

Unbelievable tripe the whole lot today. Comical Ali reporting

imo there's nothing wrong with his opinion, it's just that at this time he should keep it to himself. We need Martins to be 100% committed, the last thing we need is someone whispering in his ear (or in this case shouting in the press), "Never mind that lot of losers, get the hell out of town while you still can". I don't care what other people think, it's the effect on Martins that worries me.
-
Outrageous. He should keep his trap shut unless/until we get relegated, until then his opinion is irrelevant. This just serves to unsettle the player and WE pay his wages not the fucking Nigerian FA.

Beat the Guineas? Talking about wanking is for General Chat bluebiggrin.gif

Earnshaw, Blackstock, Rasiak & Gray are also scoring goals in the Championship. Let's get them too! Point is, we shouldn't of let him go. He played with real fire, grit and determination at the end of last season. He could of done a job this season, and i think now we all know that. He couldn't get ahead of Shola in the pecking order bluesigh.gif

We should buy him, money no object bluebiggrin.gif

I agree. Hopefully we can get some compo for Owen to help finance a move for a serious proven striker. Staying up is all important. We have to trust Shepherd et al to attract someone to the club, as they did in the case of Owen, they HAVE to get it right. Could be a key moment for us blueuhoh.gif

The trouble is Marcus seems as goal shy as our lot. We might as well go for Jason Euell. I doubt Charlton'll let Darren Bent go full stop, although if they did it would improve their chances of getting relegated, which benefits us. It'd take a big pile of cash, but I think given our current predicament it'd well spent. Like Darren Bent would leave Charlton to come here, if we are still close to the bottom come Jan then forget it, he may leave Charlton but it wont be to come here. True but we can offer him rolls royce wages :winking: Aye we can but I think if he was after massive wages he would not be at Charlton now. bluebigeek.gif It all makes sense now! HE'S JUST WAITING FOR US TO COME IN FOR HIM!!!!!!

If Emre is off he would be a great player for a season or two, hopefully then Pattison would be making the step up to first team regular Isn't Pressley a defender? Am thinking of the one at Hearts mind. blueconfused.gif Elvis. Not as quick as he used to be. "On m' head baby, hon hon hon"
