Can you qualify for Europe these days via the LDV Vans trophy?
-
Now that's incisive analysis bluebiggrin.gif

This must be a joke. He's not Roeder's sort of player, we have at least 4 people who can play on the left, and his best days are behind him. Most importantly Shepherd made it clear that he left effectively with the club's boot up his arse. What he wants is irrelevant.
-
We'll make hard work of it folks, we always do against rank outsiders
-
Perhaps we can change the thread title now the club has denied the story?
-
When the Board have something to announce. Which they obviously don't right now.
-
Perhaps we should wait till there's a stock exchange announcement before we wave bye bye. Nice picture though bluedead.gif

I suppose it's because some of our injuries are down to bad luck ie impact damage (NZog, Dyer, Bramble) or of a long term nature (Ameobi, Owen).........plus there's a real variety there........my impression was that the majority of Souness's were similar types of soft tissue injuries (groin, hamstring, calf etc) Bet most couldn't have come up with that answer, but cheers.

Makes sense to me. Maybe our eagerness to sign players makes us more tolerant of poor injury records?
-
He must have known he was about to get suspended. And he must have known his challenge on Robben, at the end of the match, was likely to get him a booking. Pointless and unprofessional imo :wullie:

Babayaro got cautioned last night for a foul on Robben. He'll now be suspended but will it be for Chelsea in the LC or Spurs in the Prem? Another poor match for Babayaro and he was raped by Robben more than once (although he had no support from his team mates over that side, to be fair). But at a time when we're so short handed, getting booked in the last 3 minutes or so of the game was unprofessional imo - not only as we needed to be up the other end of the pitch but also because he's now out of another match with no back up for his position. Well done Baba  I hope Roeder was paying attention.

Dunno. Strange though. I do hope we've invested properly in the best fitness & medical staff though, because to do otherwise would be bonkers

Cracking post. I'll probably still want him out in the summer though bluebiggrin.gif

Aye he did today in the Chronicle I think, kind of glad about Woodgate (big risk) and Knight (woeful) but little disappointed with him ruling out Distin. I'm praying this means all the money's going on 2 full backs and a striker. It probably means all the money's going on Peter Crouch bluedead.gif
-
I think Roeder's denying Woodgate, Distin and Knight are targets. Can't be arsed to find the quote though

I won't miss Pardew's strange looking teeth bluedead.gif

What does 'good all days' mean? Are you talking about Aldis or something?
-
I think they've also really missed Dean Ashton

Don't be so bloody daft. How the hell can the lad tackle a problem like this BY HIMSELF ? He's done the right thing in bringing it up. I dont agree with him 100% but I'm bang on behind him in bringing it up. Censuring those concerned, yes. But not banning. Would the lad complaining for instance make a stand against someone gloating about 7/7 at his mosque ? I doubt it. Yet they are the ones RESPONSIBLE for people doing the "town full of pakis" that caused him so much anger. What goes around comes around. Here is another example of overreaction making the problem greater. This is a "thought police" mentality - You can only say things we allow you to say. Ever heard of freedom of speech ? It used to be popular before the PC brigade started their subservience to fanatics. This kind of tugging forelocks revolts me. :wullie: Bullshit. Its the same problem - someone offended by chants/shouts from opposition. You ARE taking up cudgels. Nope it's not the same problem. It's the difference between racism and banter. Why not be as offensive as you like? Let people hang over the pitch and throw bananas, shouting "Nigger, Nigger" and when anyone gets offended you can go "What's wrong with them like, it's just like taunting the Smoggies"? But I'm not taking up cudgels....I can see you're in favour of free speech rather than being an apologist for thick as pig shit racists. :winking:

How do you know that? http://www.icons.com/ameobi/team.html Click on the picture of Stephen Carr bluebiggrin.gif

Not for me. His own team mates call him Fathead, says it all really.
